I've been looking into sites like Mylikes, and the money sounds nice, but I keep thinking that exploiting your actual friends on Facebook is kind of sketchy. Do people really do this, or are they setting up a separate "personality" web of social media and links, and treating that like a business?

I do not like my friends to be used to promote my work or to promote someone else either for that matter. I would not like my friends to do this to me. It reminds me of other marketing gimmiks - not on line - which try to cash in on your friends. If friends want to be involved they will ask us what we do, why we do it and whether it is profitable. Of course I would like my friends to join Mylot, for instance, and I have told them about it when they have asked, but so far no-one is interested in pursuing it. I suppose I am just too honest to pretend that they will make a lot of money doing it. I do it for several reasons and the main one is that I like sharing points of view with others. I will not bother with Mylikes.
