Skyfall is one of the best movie of 007. It's really personalized with M. It's full of action, not just depending on gadgets. It get really intense, as Bond physically is not as what he is capable of. The ending is definitely giving clues that there will be more 007 movies. Story line is simple, not so spionage, but more personalized. For anybody who has not watched it yet, go get your ticket! You won't regret it.

Yesterday I went to see the latest James Bond film with some friends. It was the worst plot of all of the James Bond films I`ve seen by far. The "bad guy" was just bad. There was no real motive behind his actions to give the movie a small amount of credibility. The stunt work and the special effects are all I would recomend about this film. You are right about the great amount of action, but any action has to have a motive behind and this movie did not have that. You are right, too, that the story is simple. So simple, that Mr. Fleming must be turning in his grave. He was a master writer of espionage stories and when people go to see a James Bond story, they expect spionage. If I want car racing, I go to the races. My own experience though After the movie, we came to my house for cocktails and to talk about the movie. All of my friends were disappointed, but we had fun eating and drinking

I do think this current James Bond flick is some kind of redemption and retribution for the characters. After all, we had seen through Bond, through the years, the super sexy spy smart enough to slip away from any sinister scene. Is he for real? Skyfall somehow showed that Bond had come full circle. What is exciting is that this Bond also ushered in a host of young characters, alert and passionate, and Bond, whom most of us oldies relate to as someone in our generation, is willing enough to take the young people in, and guide them. Of course, he has to rely on them, too. The world has changed, and Bond, celebrating its golden year, was just as willing to adapt to the times. Gone are the high falutin madmen, the enemy has blended with us. That is our reality now. I would have copy pasted my discussion here, but this is not my post. But here's the link: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2720443.aspx I hope I was able to clarify a few things, because I really enjoyed Skyfall.

Yes both of you are the ones that got disappointed. The distinction of Bond gadget, women, makes it more on the action movie kind of style. Although the story line still spionage, but it is more on revenge now, instead of killing the world with nuclear etc. At the end of movie, they definitely are going to make another one. We'll see if Daniel Craig is still going to be the Bond.

lol, I'm looking for this kind of comment; I was so afraid that I was alone with bad comment about this movie. for me it's not James Bond if there's no sophisticated gadgets, amazing equipment that no one can imagine before. and since Daniel Craig selected as James Bond; this movie has become "action movie" not more. and if I want to see "fighting" I prefer to see Jacky Chan like in "Rush Hour" so basically I think they need replacement for Daniel Craig and it's time to call "Steven Spielberg" to direct the movie and come out with more Bond Style Gadgets and equipment.

Most people expect more gadgets, futuristic kind of gadgets. Some get dissappointed becaue this new one is not like the old James Bond. I still like this Bond movie.

Seems like both the critics and the viewers are liking the new Bond movie. I've never really been into the Bond movies, even when Sean Connery was playing him, and I LIKE Mr. Connery But Daniel Craig has been great at playing him, and I like how they make him more human and rugged, and the women less of a toy for him, but can pull their weight and hit with the best of them! I think I'll watch this one in the cinema. I never bothered to go to the cinema with the others before, I just waited for them to play on TV, lol!

Yes, Daniel Craig plays good in this Bond movie. In this movie, he is more human, with limited capabilities. And yes, you are absolutely correct that woman is less of a toy for him. Although they still use sexy woman, but it is not as often as the Rogers Moore James Bond era. I like seeing action movies in theater. The sound system makes a different. I can't jack up my stereo system loud enough, cause my neighbors are going to bang on my door..lol..

I was "supposed" go to the movies tonight but I think my boyfriend fell asleep. I was considering seeing that or a horror movie that's out. (I'm a huge fan of horror movies) Anyways I felt silly because I kept hearing about this Skyfall movie and I had assumed that it was about aliens. Of course when I went online and watched the trailer I quickly realized it was a Bond film. It looks pretty good though still and I'll probably go see it soon. I'm not a huge fan of action movies but James Bond films always decent.
