My aunt suggest me take warn water instead of cold because it can help to lose weight. It's my first time to hear that yet It's seems nice. And I will lose nothing if I try. But I want to know if its true or not. Is their any scientific or research that says that its effective?

I have hear drinking warm water after dinner can help digest food, but think cold water helps lose weight faster. My doctor says many people aren't drinking enough water, so he has no problem with me drinking warm or cold water.

Fishmomma...does your doctor say anything about drinking iced tea, being just basically flavored water...does he say anything about that being an equal replacement for water? I have always wondered, but can't find the answer. I drink ice tea 24/7 and have no sucess in loosing weight. I also drink about 3 bottles of regular water a day too. But I would think that the tea would be as good..it is just flavored water

He told me not to count any water that is flavored, as he said I'm not drinking enough plain water. I have problems with stones and have ended up in the hospital twice to have them surgically removed. We purchased a water cooler and buy bottled water, so I no longer drink any tap water. Our tap water isn't clear, as the bottom of the glasses were white kind of a chalky appearance, so the water has a funny taste. My doctor told my husband that I must drink larger amounts of water, so my husband gives me a hard time any day I drink a low amount of water now. I'll admit the last trip to the hospital was a wake up call to do a better job of lowering stress, drinking more water and playing a game or reading to relax. Life is really short and I have no plan to spend it paying high cost medical bills for ignoring my doctor.

Yes, I am personally experienced, it will definitively work, but instead of just warm water mix few drops of lime. I would suggest you to take early in the morning, not all day required, all the best!

I think it is the contrary. Drinking cold water specially ice cold water makes the body to produce heat to cool down the water. The body needs energy to produce heat, more heat produced = more calories burned. The burned calories is not that much, it is just 10-20.

The only thing that works long time is training yourself to eat less of the fattening things and to generally eat less of everything. That way your tummy will shrink a little and you will get used to more sensible eating habits. It isn't easy to do this and the changes are slow so we get discouraged. If the hot water worked we would all be slim, there are no short cuts to losing weight I am afraid.

It is actually the opposite. Drinking cold water requires our body to heat up the water to our body temperature. When our body is working, it requires energy. This makes us burn more calories. So start drinking cold water!
