Tears & Rain

November 14th 2012. In a room full of people, looking for someone I know The one I was looking for wasn't here at all. That's when they pointed down the hall. So down the hall I went, to a room very large and grand full of noble people, and among them, my grand mother stands. She was strong and tall, and smiled at me her eyes full of the dawn, gleaming brightly Her hair full and dark, with a streak of pure white I was taken back by this beautiful sight She held out her arm, and I took hers in mine walking down the hall in full stride. Until I saw our destination Her favorite plush recliner chair. But as we walked, she began to stoop before we got there. The light in here eyes began to fail Her dark hair, turned grey and pale As we got to the plush chair, she turned and she sat down there. In a flash of shear terror I knew what was next I threw my arms around her, and clung to her neck I kissed her face as many times as I could but... in blink... it was over... she was gone. And there alone I stood Next to a plush but empty recliner chair Watching it ever so slowly fade into thin air... I shut me eyes, and opened again A dim light from the window, and a clock saying it was too early to begin I knew it mattered not, there would be no more rest for me this night I hurried quickly to the shower, and sat face up to the rain hoping, pleading, begging that it might wash away my tears, and pain. R.I.P March 8th 2001 Betty Melvin, my mothers, mother.

Never forget. We, you and I, need that. Need it to be better than we otherwise would be. *hugs* Then if G-d is willing, someday someone will remember you, and be a better person because of your memory.

The poem was really good and emotional. I see how attached you are to you grandmother, how much you loved her. It is indeed painful to lose someone we care and love for. It is now rare for people to be so caring and loving to their grandparents. May her good soul rest in peace.

That was such a lovely poem. You have clearly demonstrated your love towards your grandmother. It is painful to realize that they could not be with us forever, but that is only temporary. We will surely be with them at the right time.

This poem made my tears fall. The most painful thing is when our beloved left us , pain would be indescribable ! At first , we are even in denial stage ! We can hardly accept and understand things and it will take longer span of time for everything to sink in and somehow accept the truth. Anyways , all wounds heal , you'll be fine friend just put in your mind , your grandma is happy now and at peace with our God . God bless .
