Are Cows The Most Intelligent Creatures On Earth?

I am about to put forth the argument that Cows are the most intelligent creatures on the Planet, far smarter than us.
Not only will I prove that these beasties are truly our masters, but they are plotting.
We have all seen cows in a field, chewing the grass and looking bored.... Not just looking bored, but looking completely bored. They have a look on their faqce that suggest that life in the field is dull.
I put it to you that only an intelligent mind, a mind that thinks and problem solves can look like bored.
And why is the cow bored? because it is a field chewing grass all day.
Also have you ever noticed how sometimes cows stand together, facing each other.
They realise that we have seen them and then ...... DISPERSE......
Next time you walk past a field full of cows, wactch and beware of their plotting.
Always remember, when the cows have enslaved us.

Oh to funny you are...
Cows plotting because they are bored.. lol Is that what the younger generation is doing cause they are bored.. plotting ... umm I don't see them trying to use their brain since most media is teaching them not to respect us or listen..
hence what we have now.. children that don't care about anything but what life can bring them and only them.. is so so so sad.. but it is in all types of life..
take a look around.. is sad.

I don't think the younger generation are bored, I think you are confusing BORED with VAPID and VACANT...... Or maybe just DULL.

no not bored or dull...
yes actually spent my summers on my grandparents farm.. growing up.. so yes I know more about cows and farm animals than you may think.
Have you actually talked and walked with them in a field? I have.. when I was younger..

ahaha XD.. I like your point of view about cows but I hope that ur not serious about it ^^ well, Cows have big brains but it doesn't mean that they are smart, eithet smarter than us. It always depend on a genetic functioning of the brain and us, humans ,have these billions of neurons just to send a single message to our brain. But with cows?? XD You are funny bro XD, ahaha I keep thinking what u said at the last part..XD

What a weird discussion! I don't think cows are plotting against us! If they are they would of enslaved years ago! They are smart animals but not that smart!
On land the most intelligent animal is the chimp. We are related to them (or it vice verse?) and you have not noticed they look alot like us! In the sea it is the dolphin! This mammal can be taught to do just about anything!
So as you can see Cows are not going to enslave us! I would be alot more worried about the chimps and dolphins doing it!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the Dolphins - they might have difficulty over throwing the humans from the sea - if we stay away from the sea I think we will be ok

LOL. Nice!!! So it would be more like the planet of the cows, not planet of the apes. . They do look like they are bored and plotting. It would be much like the book animal farm. Only it will be the cows that head the masses. Nice!!! I like this one.

Lol, your argument is very interesting especially for the bored part, may be it make sense but also need a scientific conclusion.
But in my mind I still think dog is the most intelligent creature because they can understand many things of human beings. Of course man is exclusive of this comparison.

You are also missing the point - one can not be bored unless one is intelligent - Cows look bored, ergo they are intelligent

Wow. such a great observation. Aside from being Holy, cows are intelligent, too. Oh my, i am embarrassed by this fact.. Never thought of it. No wonder there are just so few cows in the Philippines, before we have a lot as in you'll see them every where. Now, nothing at all. They are intelligent enough to get tired of our politics and migrated somewhere, may New Zealand.

This is funny because my husband collects cow stuff. We have a cow cookie jar, cow pictures, cow salt and pepper shakers, cow knick-knacks, a cow border around our kitchen ceiling, musical cows, a flasher cow, a 3 foot tall skinny cow that right now has a "terrible towel" (for the Pittsburgh Steelers) around its neck, and tons more...too numeerous to mention.
Also, a thought: People say dogs are more intelligent than cats, budt I think cats are smart enough to not show how smart they are, therefor no one expects anything from them.

Cats want you think that!!.... they have the entire thing planned out, i wouldn't be surprised if there is a cat in control of Mylot and put you up to talk about cows to divert attention and suspicion away from them. cows look bored coz they cannot show the fear they feel when there is a big kitty watching the entire field from the masters mansion[the head cat..hehehe].

Indeed they are plotting. I think they are the council of the farm animals, and they use all the sheep, pigs and chickens as their slaves to start REbuilding their empire. pfff... everyone thinks egyptian built the pyramids.. noone knows the truth. Space cows invaded earth many, many thousand years ago. Spartans managed to beat them in the thermopylae battle once, but nowadays cows are plotting to return stronger and more organised than ever! It was on the news earlier today.

If you ask me I believe dog are more smarter than cows, why? have you seen a cow balancing in a ball? Or a cow doing mathematics? How about a train cow as an extra in a movie. hahaha, nothing just saying what's on my mind. :3

Hi,
What about pigs? You dangle them a one thing and they instantly remember the time, date, and type of item they got. Next time you come around, they squeal like its the end of the world demanding for it. They eat anything too, even poisonous foods without getting sick. Now, that's not just intelligence, that's survival.

I know about some animals and mammals which are intelligent on earth , but i don't know that cows are the most intelligent. Is there any research which proves this? I mean as far as i know from the research dolphins are the most intelligent mammals .
