Selling on ebay - buying on ebay

I have bought and sold on ebay for years. When I was selling nobody wanted to pay anything near what the items were worth and when I bought people wanted much more than the items were worth. Then to top it all off ebay started raising the charges for everything making it really not worth trying to sell anything. At one point the bill I got from ebay for listings was more than I was making. I really enjoyed making my listings look nice and interesting but at a cost! Have you ever bought or sold on ebay? What were your experiences with them?

I love Ebay I am always on there, I do feel they charge too much but it's something I really enjoy. I have a disability so can't get out to shop as often as I would like to, Ebay is great for that. I sell alot on there too generally things that I make, I have found fees going up and I only listened it's free listing now as it gets too expensive and is pointless paying that amount.

yes, the reason I started on ebay was I don't drive to get to stores and any place that delivers is great for me. A few years ago I did all my Christmas shopping on ebay. I was having a lot of good luck that year.

I have got most of my Christmas presents this year from Ebay, so much easier when they come to me means I don't have to force myself out.

That's the best thing about shopping online....it comes to you and you don't have to go out and carry bundles.

I still sell on Ebay and have been doing this for about 10-12 years now. I try to only sell light objects so the shipping fee is low. There fee's have gone up but they also have some incentives, and that's usually when I do sell. The collectibles section now is much better because you can put up to 12 pic's at no charge. And I'm pretty sure you can list up to 50 items in one month with no listing fee. All my Christmas shopping was done on Ebay and I did find some fantastic prices, which were much cheaper than the original price, or from the original website, so I'm happy with that. I guess I'm just a loyal Ebay person.

WEll, if there are some new incentives I might go back and take a look. It's been a long time since I've even checked it out. Thanks for the info.

I spend my online earning on ebay I bought my craft supplies from ebay which i found a lot of cheaper than what they sell here (and I began to suspect the offline store here actually got their item from ebay). What I bought are simple things like yarn, needles, buttons, knitting row counter, etc. It doesn't cost much but it's means a lot and helps my projects so I can earn from the finished item I made. I never sold anything on ebay, I have problem with the shipping because it is too expensive here. Yes, I bought gift for my brother from ebay. He wanted some bicycle accessories and he likes it so much. His birthday is on December, it's okay he got his gift earlier

I have bought and sold on ebay but your right it's much harder to make money as a seller now then it used to be. I still buy off of ebay though as it is simply cheaper then anywhere else, not sure if I will sell on there again though.

I still enjoy E-baying. More selling than buying. My biggest frown upon them is how you have to wait like 2 weeks for it to be cleared through PayPal, and then an additional 3-4 days to get money transferred to your bank account. So the shipping costs have to come directly out of your pocket before you even ship. Not liking that so much. But overall, I am still an Ebay fan.
