Is it cool for a girl to skateboard?

I read blogs about skateboarding but most skateboarders are boys, and I would love to try it out.

thanks! I'm planning to buy my own board next month...i don't know if I should pursue this skateboard thing, that means I would have to focus less on my profession...i'm having dilemmas

Just because it's more guys into skateboarding than girls doesn't mean a girl can't do it. It just means guys are probably more interested in it than girls but anything a guy can do a girl can to. If someone doesn't like you for skateboarding then they aren't your friend. Hope you get to buy that skate board and start skateboarding if that is your true passion and what you want to do. If you really like to then you should try it. Follow your heart, And I think it would be cool if a girl try skateboarding. Just like the one I saw in commercial. :3 But be careful, you're a girl so take care of your self. :)
