If you gained a lot during pregnancy, then it really will be a challenge to go back to your pre-pregnancy weight. So, the best way is not to gain much, in the first place. Try to keep a good diet and exercise during pregnancy, and continue with it postpartum, but only when you have recovered and ready to do exercises as advised by your doctor. Now, if you're like me, who has gained more than 40lbs during pregnancy, I focused on shedding off the gained weight by dieting and exercise like zumba and pilates. After 5 months, Im now back to my pre-pregnancy weight. However, I still need to lose more because I was already a little overweight before I got pregnant.

Yes, it really helps. But you also have to keep watch of your diet because exercising can only make you lose weight until such time it plateaus. By that time, you need to work on your diet even more to continue losing weight.

I had this problem after I had my son. My dr. said to drink lots of water. I did and lost the weight over the next 2 months. Try it.

Not necessary everyone's weight will increase after birth some women's weight is loose after birth a new baby. The most important is exercise or walking.

If you notice celebrities especially in Hollywood they already working out before getting preggy and even attend some yoga class and Pilates during the pregnancy, then after giving birth they are working out harder and voila back to their old body

The metabolism I think is the issue here so mom who have given birth should be careful on foods they take in. To strengthen the metabolism, one should result more on vegan diet and fresh fruit juices.

most of your pregnacy isn't fat but your stomach streatching so skin streathing isn't going to go back to normal right away a bit of it is from baby and it does take more work because your muscles have to return to there normal position before having a baby and that just doesn't happen over night. The best way is to watch what you eat, and work out.

Hi there. I haven't really given birth to a child but I think I can understand your feelings. Some of my friends are already complaining because they gained weight while they are still pregnant and it is so hard for them to lose weight now that they have given birth. I think you just have to focus. But I wish for you to rest first because the first to second month after giving birth is not really easy. You need to take some rest first before heading yourself to the gym and losing weight. You can also go on a fruit diet. Just take some fruits and vegetables first for you to maintain the body weight that you have and if you are ready to lose weight then go run outside or go to the gym. You can also take some dietary food. I take USANA's nutrimeal. It is a food replacement program which could really help you to lose weight. I lost weight 2kg in just one week. Try it

Start exercising. Eat healthy, try to eat more fruits and vegetables. I've lost 40 lbs by exercise and eating healthy. No diet at all. I still eat chocolate everyday!
