giving away expired stuff...

I've always known my boss' stinginess since i came here, she said there are foods that they eat that maids cannot have(they are rich so i understand that they have lots of good foods and they think that maids are not entitled to have those),it didn't bother me as long as she is not abusing me physically and i am having my salary on time.I usually buy my own food when its needed. This shouldn't bother me now and i should be getting used to it but sometimes i cant help but really get so upset. There were times, which is really rare, she would give me stuff like expired chocolate, expired cosmetics, expired cakes and would say, with smile on her face,"hey this is for you!" as if she is being so kind at that moment.Normally i would accept it and say thank you but i wont eat or use it coz i know they are expired.I dont want her to feel offended if i dont accept it.It happened again yesterday, she brought back a kind of bread and said,u can have this! When i smell it,its spoiled. But how could she ever do such things? Is it because i am just a maid and she thinks i am stupid to not know that what she did is a form of humiliation?Or she really thinks that I am a slave?Or she thinks i an idiot that i am actually having those stuff even if it is expired?

Next time she offers you any of those stale breads just smell it in front of her and speak loudly " Its rotten". See her expressions then. May she is herself unaware that you too can smell

I agree to this, because I did the very same thing when my former boss tried to pull something like this on me. I have heard from the rumors that she have this habit of giving people anything that is about to expire a day before or even those who have expired already. Of course I dismissed it, having no proof of it. But then one fateful day she gave me some chocolates. Of course who doesn't like chocolates! But when I picked it up it felt different like it has melted or something. I turned it over and did a double take on the expiry date, maybe I got it wrong. But no, it has expired yesterday. I told her, "thanks, ma'am, but this is already expired. I don't eat spoiled food. I'll just throw this in the bin for you." After that she never gave me anything ever again, haha! Just as well, I can buy my own.

one time she gave me an LV purse with a broken string and fungus inside the bag.she said she dont want it anymore and i can have it,i accept it but after that i put it in a trash outside where she can see it when she go out.i lost my patience that time.i dont have to say anything in front of her but i showed her that what she gave me belongs to the trash, even a maid will not have it no matter how expensive it is.

And I though that it was only my mother in law who does that! She is stingy to some extent, but when you really look at it, she is wasting more money than she realizes. She would buy food, sometimes expensive ones. he would keep it inside the refrigerator for weeks. Then she calls me up, "Jenny, come over and I have food for your kids". Then of course I would go to their house only to find out that the fried chicken is as hard as a rock, the spaghetti is full of molds, etc. Not even my dog could eat those! I don't want to sound mean coz she does help my kids go to school. But sometimes she is way lout of line in giving things most especially to me. Not only food would she be giving. She would say that she has some curtains that she wanted me to have and should use it for the occasion that was coming in a few day. And when I checked on it, the curtains would be either full of stains or holes! How can you put it up by the window?

haha!exactly..my employer does that also.buying expensive things and just put in inside her shelves for months and years..expensive foods inside the refrigerator and will ask people to have it when it expires.most of the times when she is having those foods on the ref,i would wait until its rotten and full of molds until i remind her.and then she will say,oh what a pity, and then i would just shrug my shoulder without saying anything.
