Witness on HBO

I have been watching Witness on HBO. Witness is a four part series about life in conflict zones. There are four short documentaries that follow the life of a photojournalist who is working in countries that are experiencing conflict within their borders. I have seen Juarez, The Sudan and Libya. I do not yet know what the fourth and final episode is.
When HBO does something right, they do it right. The series is excellent. I am gripped by these docs. I am so grateful and thankful this Thanksgiving to live in The United States, even with all our flaws, weaknesses and mistakes. We, Americans, are so lucky and so spoiled.
If you have HBO, you can check out Witness on HBO on Demand. It is under short documentaries. If you do not have HBO, Witness is worth checking out on line.

A great, great series there. Should win awards for those. i really like the juarez mexico one.

I read about these countries and situations in the paper. I listen to the news and read things on line. But these documentaries really bring me there and I witness these conflicts.How awful it is for all these persons no matter what side they are on. Witness brings me there, right into the conflict and into the countries and into the lives of all the people.
