First 'User'Test Completed For 'TryMyUI'

As you know, I am a website tester for UserTesting.com and have been paid a few times now. Unfortunately, I do miss out on tests occasionally as some come into my inbox whilst I'm still in bed. But, I average out at 2 a week, each paying $10 (around £6) so, overall, I'm pleased. So, imagine my surprise when a test (finally) came into my inbox from TryMyUI. This is another website where a webcam is not necessary for testing so I completed the test (a Dating website would you believe!) and received a mark of 80% out of 100%, which is good for a first test. Obviously, the more tests I do (as in UserTesting) the more my mark goes up and the more tests I will be eligible for. However, some tests I will never be eligible for, i.e. I do not meet the demographics such as I don't live in Australia or the USA, or I don't speak French or Italian, or I'm not on Facebook! I will let you know when I actually get paid from TryMyUI. Apparently, once a test has been accepted (and mine has, hence the mark), they pay out twice a week. With UserTesting, of course, it's 7 days after each test has been done and they have never let me down yet! Have you found something online recently that you have just been (either) accepted to join or you've actually been paid from? No referrals please but you knew that already.

What exactly do you do to test these websites? (And, no, I didn't know you were a tester. Testy sometimes, yes, tester no. )

Sounds like a lot of work. Maybe after I get a new Mac and can run FireFox again. (Safari keeps shutting down for no go reason.)

Sometimes they specify different browsers and I only use Firefox now. In fact, sometimes I don't qualify because I don't use a MAC. Good excuse to save up for one lol.

Well, firstly, you sign up (obviously), then you download their software that has to used in order to test sites on, then you're given a er..test to do and marks from that determine whether or not you're accepted. The test they give you..you can do a few times I think (well, definitely on TryMyUI anyway), then, once accepted the tests come through via email and onto the site as well. Some completed (paid) tests are marked by the site reviewer, but it's optional. Currently, I've got a full 5 out of 5 mark on UserTesting and 80% out of 100% on TtryMyUI but that will go up after a few more tests. Are you with me? Good! To conduct a test you must have a headphones/microphone combo. Mine only cost £3.99 online and it's the best thing I've bought this year. There are NO sign up charges. The only people who are charged are those who have submitted their websites for testing. This enables testers like me to get paid. I've not had a rejected test yet, which is pretty good. As for the dating site, it was so funny using that as I told 'them' I was married but I could still pretend I was single. Any pretend sign-ups to sites are fake as I am encouraged to use false information. All they want to know is if the pages work. You should try it out, there are Canadian tests I've not been able to do, for obvious reasons. Those were on the UserTesting site.

I have not been into website testing sites before.I checked out the site called "usertesting.com".It seems to me that it requires a lot of work,as it requires a video footage of us working into that site and telling all about the glitches and errors and ways to improve on any website. How long does it take for you to do one site testing. Also let us know about the next site you are working on.Hope it turns out to be legit.

I just looked at that site. I am right now talking with someone on the chat about it. It sounds interesting. Right now I use many sites online to make money. And MyLot is one of them. But this site does look pretty good. I am going to find out all about it and see, maybe I will become a tester as well.

I've just got paid for my first test with them as well. If you like chatting to yourself whilst on sites you will love web-testing. I do it without the headset on now, it's that addictive lol. Let me know how you get on.

I am going to wait a bit. Especially right now. My eyes have been starting in with me again. I have that condition called Keratitis. And every once in a while it kicks in and my eyes start to swell and the eyes start hurting and tearing. Its a whole thing. I am doing what I can right now on MyLot, but I will be logging off soon. But when I get around to it, I will let you know.

Have you ever made the payment on here? I do hope so as you should be rewarded for your English. It's better than some English-speaking people, believe me.

That's good money! Are the tests long? I've never heard of this. I'd probably never qualify. I never qualify for surveys. I'm not sure if what you are doing is anything like surveys.
