is facebook photo sync a rumor or true?

i heard that facebook launched a new feature in which their user can synchronize their photo in a private album with more than 2 GB of photo storage. If this is true, that means we will never lose again our pictures as we can store them on the feature and make a synchronization anytime we want to take back these pictures.

I'm on fb all the time and just came back from there. I haven't put any pictures lately and haven't heard about any photo storage. I may check it out again. Thanks for the heads up!
