Can't Stop eating M&Ms

I got a bunch of bags, 12.6 oz to 14 oz, on sale recently. I just can't stop eating them. I know that over a bag in one day is way too much but once I start, I can't stop. It is negating all my exercise efforts to loose or even maintain my weight. This time of the year is so tough because of all the candy sales and the after, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc., candy discounted sales. I try to limit myself to buying such things as M&Ms to when the price is much less than $0.20/oz just to try to limit how much I eat but the holiday season is totally defeating that technique.

I do like M&Ms with peanuts. So, I don't keep those in my house, if you know what I mean. If there is any kind of chocolate in my house, it just is too tempting. I gave my kids a tube of M&Ms for Christmas. A tube with a M&M figurine on the top. It had the year 2012 written on it. I am collecting and saving Christmas tree ornaments for my kids. Some of them I have made. So, for this year, that M&M Christmas tree ornament is their ornament to collect for 2012. My kids will eat and enjoy the regular M&Ms. But I do try not to let them eat too many. It seems that every holiday, there is so much candy. So, I do like to give away little toys or Stocking stuffer toys. So, this year, it was both M&Ms and a little toy, a little M&M Christmas tree ornament.

M&M chocolates are really delicious. However, one should not overdo it. You might get a lot of sugar. The best thing to stop it is try not to buy it. In this way you can't eat it anymore. However, from time to time you might eat as well. Just a suggestion. Have a nice day!

I must admit I also love M and M's I think that they are one of my favorite sweets , and what's the betting that someone will buy you a big bag of M and M'S for christmas. If this is causing a problem with your weight you will just have to use your will power and say no. I must admit that to give up chocs and sweets it would be hard. But I suppose these things are sent to try us good luck with it I'm sure you will be fine

Chocolates makes me happy , it is tried and tested , when i felt sad and lonely after a bite of it , felt happiness comes out. When i also felt so stressed , i felt relax after eating it. This is not just a fantasy , this have scientific explanation. By the way , guess you're eating too much , be careful of your sugar and why why don't you send me some ? LOL !

M&M is good, oh how can anyone resist it. LOL! my kids really love this stuff as well as my husband, including me but I can control myself. I used to hide it and some of the chocolate and just give them a few every other day, otherwise, more than two bags a day is way too much. I am just scared that their sugar will go high.

I can't eat M&M's because they have corn starch in the candy coating.

Hahaha! I know where you are coming from. I used to used more than a large bag of M&Ms. I'm telling you that it can really pack on the pounds since I'm not of an exercise person myself. Now that I'm here in Dubai, there are plenty of chocolate varieties you can choose from. The only way I don't have a monster craving for any type of chocolates, I simply don't buy them. You know what they say "Out of sight, out of mind!" Try to discipline yourself in having them in moderation. Everytime you eat a piece, just think of the exercise you need to exert in burning them. Eventually, you'll get the picture and won't have craving for it as much as before. Psych yourself into not eating them. Good luck!

Hi stealthy, same here same here,i too, once i start i would not stop till i finish the whole bag,the medium size packet. But here in my country it is quite costly even if it is on sale it is not that attractive and i am not sure whether the price not attractive enough or chocolate is not consume much by the public or whether the price of it high because of the imported products used to make chocolate

M&Ms chocolate snack is one of the favorite snack of mine. I do eat that quite frequently when I was a kid. Nowadays since I got to university, I haven't seen it though, the chocolate snack that can be seen everywhere is nips. The taste is not so bad too for that one. Though I never eat more than one pack per day. They are sweet and hot. Which can cause headache, obesity, teeth damage and other health issues if taken too much. So I would suggest yourself to try and control it or ask someone around you to stop you from eating too much.

M&Ms are one of my favorite candies, I really love them, but I can't eat to much. I don't want to be bounceing off the walls from the sugar intake.

M&Ms are one of my weaknesses - and probably my biggest. I could eat M&Ms for every meal, every day. I know that my current medication causes weight gain and all sorts of other problems related to eating too much. Since starting on this medication, I literally DREAM of eating. And all I want to eat are sweets. Because of this I know I have absolutely zero willpower when I see M&Ms. I refuse to buy them. I know as a fact that if they were in the house, no matter the size of the bag, I would eat them all in one sitting. I've purchased the 2 pound bag and devoured them within an hour or two.

Haha, M&Ms. Oh I havent had them in a long while now. I could relate with that. 2 weeks ago my mom came home from overseas and brought, 2 bags of Hershey's Kisses, Galaxy, Mars, a bag of a dozen king size snickers. And Snickers being my ultimate favorite, I just screamed, "YESSSS!" Oh I can't help the temptation, the moment it got out of the bag, I opened it and got one bar. Then took a slow bite like those in the commercials and.. "MMMM!" Oh such a feeling. I knew i WILL gain weight. But. Snickers! Haha. So i really tried to have one just once a day. But.. there will be times in the day where. I would just want more. Especially when it's free and its just steps away from me. Well, it went on and on, for a week, and I started getting concerned if Ive been gaining. So I searched the web for How many calories should be enough or too much for a day, etc. Then I dont know but. My cravings became less. After I've learned the this and that of nutrition and calories and stuff. I just.. had this fear. That chocolates became like a danger to me. It's like an Imaginary sigh appeared at the side of the bar saying, "WARNING: SNICKERS IS ADDICTIVE. HAZARDOUS TO WEIGHT." To Cut it short, I think with knowledge. It made me a bit cautious in what I was doing to myself. Sure one isn't bad. But having too much is. That just imprinted in my brain as I opened my eyes.

I love chocolate and M & M's is one of them. I love the Peanut and the Almond version. One small pack of M & M's is not enough for me. I think I can consume about 3 packs in one seating. Then another three packs after an hour. =)

stealthy Oh I can relate...I would eat the bag too..and somehow the thought of treating oneself around the holidays just makes sense to us.. I didn't have m&m's today..but I ate probably 4 cups of carmel popcorn...I kept going back to the can and refilling my little container...
