i love to make the customers i serve as happy and delighted with my service.but there are those days you encounter this rude and arrogant customer who will not reason at all and has your whole day messed up in anger.i was serving as a cashier and this lady jumped the line ,i requested her to line up like the other customers .she started screaming at the top of her voice how ,the service was so slow and she didnt have the whole day to waste at the bank, she pushed her deposit through the slot and i ignored her and kept on serving the other customers in line, she was so mad, fortunately when she begun getting abusive the other customers shouted her down and she stormed off in anger.my whole day was spoilt because i was so angry.have you dealt with such customers and how did you react,do you feel at times the customer is not always right?

thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i know that a salesperson has to deal with all types of customers and sometimes these customers are so annoying that they get down on your nerves and u feel like running out of that place. I think a salesperson should always keep calm and be relaxed and if he or she feels that a customer is going out the track then he or she can talk to his or her senior or manager and sort out the issues. What say?

I had 1 in particular not too long ago actually, I was working the food counter on a extra shift I had picked up. The lady specifically asked for an iced espresso so I brought it to her she took one sip and said this is disgusting and demanded a iced french vanilla coffee instead. All I wanted to do was reach over the counter and rip the princess ears hat she had on....but I kept my cool and gave her the french vanilla lol. I have had a few but that one is the most recent. I just give them what they want since they aren't worth me losing my job over. :)

there was this one time when i was still in the customer service (glad that i was only on the phone but otherwise the customer would have seen me making faces. he was so unreasonable and he was thretening me, the lives of my family as if he knew me! i was so angry at him! he was a policeman and he told me that his bill pays for my salary. and guess what i told him? I told him my salary's tax income pays for his services, and he won't have a job if it wasn't for my tax. haha im glad that at the time all our calls weren't recorded and only some are recorded hehe or i would have receivied a memo for fighting with the customer. hihihi :P

Wow, that was crazy that that lady was acting like that. And then with her excuse and all like she thinks all the other customers that have been waiting in line like forever had the time either. Anyways, I would have done the same thing that you had done with that customer. Anyways, there have been times that I wanted to just smack people across the face. But anyways, there was this one lady when I had my job at Target that she was looking for shampoo and I thought that we didn't have it. The customer was so upset and started yelling and telling me how Target sucks and just cussing up a storm. Well despite how upset she was and how she just walked off. I in return decided to go out of my way to make sure that the shampoo was out of stock. Fortunate for her there was one more shampoo in stock and I found the customer and handed it to her. The lady was still upset and cursing and complaining about how bad the customer service was. She snatched the shampoo out of my hand and continued on with her shopping. You don't know how bad I would have loved to smack that lady silly. But I didn't let that one customer ruin my day. I figured she must have been having a bad day and I left it at that. But I would have definitely loved to smack her around a few.
