Do You Sleep A Lot?

This quote is being reminded to me every time I feel lazy and all I want is to sleep. "Why sleep a lot, when you will have it much when you die". Don't you think every lazy sleeper deserves to hear this quote? Because for me it really helps. I would rather do things that are more important than sleeping.

Perhaps you are very young and therefore you need more sleep. I remember when I was young, I also enjoyed sleeping. But now I don't have enough time for sleeping. Since I have to work and also take care of my child when I am home at night. So I will have my own free time when he goes to bed. This is why I don't have plenty of time left.

Yeah youless, I notice that youngsters always fall asleep easy and fast. They need more sleep as well. We can see this clearly when riding on long journey public transport. they would wake up only when reaching destination. Whereas elderly people look energetic and would keep on chatting with their friends loudly or eating or reading newspapers

I lack sleep. I usually have five to 6 hours sleep. The least is on Friday nights. I just have 2 to 4 hours sleep. I only have an adequate sleep on Saturday night. I sleep late and have 8 hours of sleep. My husband doesn't know this because I'm away from him. So he sometimes wakes me up early in the morning. I should have enough sleep on weekends to have a little extra energy for weekdays. What's keeping me up on weekday nights? MyLot! LOL. I guess I'm making my time productive and at the same time learn.

You should tell your husband about it :) And oversleeping will actually help us regain or cope up with sleepless times, but if we used to sleep 5 to 6 hours every night then our body will adopt it and our brain or body will take it as normal. Confused? haha!

Yes, I guess my body and brain are already able to adapt with my routine. I just feel so sleepy sometimes. I guess if I will tell my husband, he will get angry with me. LOL. I'm already old to know what's good for me but I still prefer mylotting than sleeping. So I better keep it to myself. LOL. Thanks for the comment.

Hi devonavis, this was one of the quotes that my mom liked to remind us every now and then during our school days. And of course we have developed the good habit not to have excessive sleep until it's late in the morning. You would never found us to be in the bed in the noon no matter during school holidays or on public holiday. When we have grown up and have own job and family, we then realize that time 24 hours we have daily actually is not enough for us to cope with all the daily schedule if we really want them to be done nicely. So it's a great waste of valuable time to curled ourselves up in the comfort bed. When getting age six hours of proper rest at night is just nice enough for me to be refreshed and energetic the following day Anyway I would like to enjoy an half an hour or so of nap to relax myself in the afternoon. Yeah, having proper rest would enable us to move more further Happy posting

seems that it's good to have strict parents to guide us since our childhood so as to form the good habit of going to bed early and getting up early. Wow, half past five in the morning seems to be too early for us. We usually get up around six thirty. Normally I don't need alarm clock to wake me up. Lol... body clock will wake me up accurately all the time It will seize up once in a while too. It's safe and no harm to set alarm anyway

Yeah, I think it's all about training ourselves. My dad too was very strict with this when I was still a child, he would knock my room and made sure that I was awake at 5:30 in the morning. When I reached high school, my body already adopted this kind of lifestyle and didn't need to to be awaken by my dad every morning no more.

Haha Strict parents, in moderate, are really good because this is helpful in the proper development of the child. When you train yourself to wake up at a certain time everyday, your body and brain will develop that so-called 'biological clock' wherein you don't need an alarm clock to wake you up at that particular time, you body will just wake up! Haha I'm not sure if I said it right but it's awesome!

I would like to have as much sleep as I can so that I can have enough strength to wake up early the following morning and be able to do a lot of things in the house. Plus, I know that having enough sleep can make your skin look better.

Sleep is needed to refresh, build, and repair your body, mind, even soul or spirit. But, as long as i know, sleeping with low quality just make us to be worse. Imagine, you had slept 6 hours, but it make your body to be more ill. Why? It's about your quality of sleeping. When you got 7 circle/second(cps) or less, you will grow, be repaired, and refresh. But, if you got more than 12cps, you will be illness. So, lets repair our sleep quality. How? em(too much informations)...

Lower cps will make your body and mind grow and repair better. Lets see babies, they only sleep, eat, enjoying view, sound, face, moving, etc. They grow up very well. See the way of baby sleep, we will know what a peaceful their life on their face. Unfortunately, human beings were programmed to grow until the "edge". Especially on the adult period. The only one of the way, to keep us stabile, is take care our mind wave. Sleep is the most usual we do. A little tips: 1. when you're going to sleep, relaxing your breath, pray with positive words, then focus to your heart. 2. If any problem on your heart, solve it. At least, teach your heart to let your task go, until you can finish it. It's how to make our mind being kept stabile. What's the sign if we had reached a good sleep quality? See you next time.. Nice to share.

I used to feel the same way and for years only went on three to four hours sleep a night. Eventually it caught up with me and I sleep a lot now, probably, I guess I am making up for the years of sleep that I missed. Ends up I feel better now than when I didn't sleep much and was afraid I would miss something or find something to do more important. Things seem to go smoother when I get six to eight hours of sleep.

Having enough sleep is very important to our health as it plays a role in our body's normal functions. But too much also is not good, it has many disadvantages, such as it makes us lazy. 6 to 8 hours of sleep is the ideal number of hours to sleep but sometimes it also depends on the training of the person, because the body actually adopt.

I wish I slept more, specially with something so sad that happened recently I just wished to sleep more and forget. I usually need 8 hours a day to feel recovered and good but I have been sleeping 6 yo 7 lately, hopefully it will get better and now that I just received back a book I love and brings me peace, it will get definitely.

definitely more so because the more sleep we sleep. way so that we can do is to sleep less and do more things during the day and feel to be active themselves. difficult when you are asleep but it is also very important to have a biological clock that tells us whether we sleep or not. nice day!

I don't sleep a lot but my husband does. He sleeps for 10-12 hours every night. If he does not get that amount of sleep he is cranky and does not have a good day the next day... I sleep about 5-6 hours a night, that is good enough for me!

Haha If you think your relationship is not affected by that then it could be evaluated as a 'normal' thing, but if it annoys you or it initiates fight then you should try doing something to change that sleeping habit of your husband. Just suggesting :)

Hi friend, i like this quote, really it is a motivation one. Hope lazy persons will change their attitude after hearing it. This quote is true enough and we must be brisk and avoid laziness in our life.

If we sleep a lot, it doesn't mean that you are lazy. Sleeping is very important to strengthen our immune system in the body. The phrase you had mentioned is like a metaphor.

I always sleep less because of so many tasks to be done . We need to sleep like 8 hours a day , this is the healthy living but i guess it is hard to meet because while there is still energy we never mind to sleep. We are workaholics ,as long as there is still a sun then we never stop working.

When I was a teenager I love sleeping and my parents kept on nagging at me. when I started to work and party on weekends, they told me to get more sleep. Now at I'm staying home without job, I can sleep all I want but I don't, I'd rather do something else even if they're not so important because you are right, why sleep much when we will have it all when we die.

That's a bit strange line devonavis but it's true there'll be no waking up when we die. I don't sleep much it's a waste of time I think. I usually sleep at 11pm then wake up at 4am but I was told that I should sleep at 10pm. 10pm-4am is the right sleeping time with a short nap in the afternoon some people say. It's not also healthy if we sleep for a short time only.
