my neighbor who is very snubbish

Some people are like that. If she doesn't want to be friendly consider it her loss, not yours. I would not smile anymore and would just ignore her. I have a neighbor like that. I tried to speak to her one day and complimented her on her garden and flowers in her yard. She just stood there staring at me and never said a word. I felt like I was talking to one of the trees in my yard. So now I just ignore her if I see her.

hmmm.. maybe she is just shy... but yes if she doesn't like to respond then stop. HMP! as if she's the only person in the world. hmp again. It is just like that. some people don't care if you care or not. and sometimes or most often times these people would turn and ask help from neighbors too one day. hmp again

I think that thing is her problem not yours. Don't let other person bother you , if she don't want to be friendly then be it. i guess there are people who really don't like to have friends.Just ignore her next time and don't waste your smile to a person not worth it.

I have that kind of neighbours, but I don't mind. They just want to be alone and not be acquainted with other people. You just do your thing without being affected.

Some of the neighbors have that attitude. They are not friendly with people and arrogant. We tried to friendly with them but they not care with us. If she still do like that you just ignore her. One day she will know neighbour is important to her.

Some people are really snobbish. Maybe you just ignore her but be civil. If in time she smiles back to you then just smile at her too.There are really people like that but they do not mean any harm. Have a nice day!

I would guess there is a reason she is not returning the smile. I had a very jealous ex that would get upset if I said hi to anyone and he would get in an argument with me or go talk to people I would talk to behind my back and most of the time he would threaten them and they wouldn't talk or look at me after that. She could just be shy or maybe something happened to her where she just doesn't trust people at all or is scared of them.

You have done your part and if she keeps ignoring you then I guess you are right..stop looking at her. The next time you see her just give her a straight face like what she did. Some people are too snobbish (for whatever reason) as if their smile costs a million..:xx
