Cooking that is. Me and my family are just finishing up dinner here tonight I made stuff pork chops and scalloped potatoes and green beans. So tonight as I was in the kitchen with my kids yes all 5 of them. I got to thinking of myself how many other families do this cook and eat together. I love it because to me its a time to be together were creating something we all love and just being with each other. On the nights my husband doesnt have to work he's in there too. I thought one day we will look back at some of the memories. When the kids are in the kitchen I try an give them all a job to do according to their abilities and ages. Like with my oldest daughter she helped do the pork chops and the stuffing and my 3 year old she likes to get me things I needs and mix and stir. Then the others will help set the table and fix drinks. Sometimes the other kids cook too it just all depends on what were having cause some like to make other things while the other likes something different. I think this is also a good skill for them to learn for when they are old enough to be on their own.

I think it's great that you get your kids involved in such an important part of life...cooking, lol! It's fun for them and you are making memories too. My daughter and her husband do the same thing with my six year old granddaughter. She loves to hang around the kitchen and cook or bake with them, helping out. Great job you're doing!
