We all know that fashion is everywhere! We see it on TV, Shops, and every business location. We all look up to celebrities wearing garments that are no doubt fashionably made. We gaze at boutiques that have wonderful pieces that mannequins are wearing. We also ask ourselves if it is worth the money we are spending, sometimes fashion can be painstakingly expensive and hard to achieve. But with a creative mind, you can really pull off the fashion trend that you really want. All you need is to put on an art, resourcefulness, uniqueness and imagination. Sometimes making a piece out of your own creative “DO IT YOURSELF” way can help you spend less or even spend nothing and make a fashion garment that has a unique statement to it. You can try experimenting on different DIY techniques to make a wardrobe of your own. Share your thoughts, and have you ever made a fashion piece with DIY stuffs?

thanks this a great tip. I wish that will fit me. But I know how to shop for clothes... i can buy a simple dress and can turn it to different styles in different occasions. I have this one black dress, fits the body... I will put just put blazer on it, then it is good for work attire. If I put on simple necklace or and have my black shawl along with...wear black stockings and sexy heels. It could be a formal attire. This same dress I wear even in beach side, just put on sandals... and sun tan lotion with it.. and instant beach dress.

Thanks for your reply. You just need your creativity and try to put pieces that can match your body and you feel comfortable with... Just mix and match and try to ask yourself if you like it or not. it's also a good saving tip to help you save your money...

I like being in with the current fashion. Though, i don't want to spend so much . That's why i would scout for cheaper versions of them. I just try to carry them well so they will look as good as the expensive ones. Though, i only buy those in fashion that looks good on me. If they don't , i don't buy them.

Yes totally, we should buy something that we are comfortable when we wear it. but we should also keep in mind to find something which can meet our budget... Thanks for your reply.

When I still had a stable job, I could somehow buy myself some clothes that would in fashion but I still try to buy those that are not that expensive. Now that I am just a stay at home mom, I wouldn't want to see myself to grow old looking like a rag! I still try to come up with a combination of some clothes that I have to make it like it was still in trend. The latest I have done was, I bought an inexpensive metallic slipper and one leather slippers. I love having beads on them but buying those slippers with beads are really way out of my budget. So what I did was I bought some inexpensive beads and have sewn them on my slippers. It looks good, I think! And I love them!

Oh yes I have. I don't know how to sew even the basic stitches. But I was so determined to learn that I watch videos everday and bought a sewing machine. I love clothes and the designs that I like most are really expensive. So I decided to watch those DIY videos and bought a kit and started sewing pillow cases for beginners, then curtains then shorts. After sometime, I found myself sewing clothes not only for myself but also for my mom and brother. It's a really good thing to learn and sometimes I just copy the clothes I am seeing in malls. Now, I am selling clothes and accessories in Facebook and it's really great! Every person who loves clothes should really learn this stuff.
