how to improve my English ?

I am Chinese so my English is poor,I want to improve my English but i do not know how to do with it.so i come here to find some foreign people to help me, i want to make a friend who mother language is English so he can tell me learn English .if you some one want to be a friend with me,please add me with your friend.I sorry my English is so-so,please pray me.

My english is not so good as well. What I did is I stop watching tv and movies which is local. I watched all english movies, read english magazine and I even chat to my friend in English. With it, you can improve your english bit by bit.

hlfbldmom has some good ideas. These are some of the best ways to improve your English. To become better, you will need to hear the language spoken correctly often. Not just 15-20 a week. Make this a daily part of your routine. Preferably 30-40 minutes (or more) a day. You need to hear it often enough so that you become accustomed to the way words are used in the English language and become used to the words themselves. Listening to the radio in English, watching television shows in English, and reading books written in English are all excellent ways to become familiar with the English language. In addition to hearing the language used correctly, you also must use the language to communicate. It will not help you to read words. It will not help you to repeat phrases after someone else. You must get used to hearing someone speak in English, understand it well enough to create a response, and then use English to answer. Your answer must be clear enough for someone else to understand. Chatting with a friend in English is a great way to do this. Writing in English is also helpful, however it's not nearly as effective.

I grew up speaking English and Farsi and have been learning Spanish for the past 6 years. My advice on getting better at a language is to try and surround yourself by the language. Also, learning to speak a language first is easier and helps you grasp the language more. Conversations are easier to have than learning how to write. To learn how to write english my number one piece of advice would be to read books or short stories in english. It may be incredibly difficult at first but will help. Maybe you could start out reading stories that you are familiar with in English so you are not completely lost. Also, practice makes perfect! Keep up trying to speak and write a lot of English and with time you will get better. Good luck!

but in my life,that is no people said english with me,they think i will be a madman,because in my country many people speak chinese ,so my mother language is chinese,my spoken language is also poor,i want to practice more ,so i can improve my english soon,thank you very much!

first, you need to master a great deal of English words. Try to read more English magzines and novels. Besides, you need to speak it out. Seize chance to talk to your friend and teaher around you in English. It is an amazing way to improve your oral English. Practise makes perfect. hope you make great progress.
