Why are they attending the Misa de Gallo?

I have attended the Misa de Gallo this 4:00 o'clock in the morning of December 16,
but I am not overwhelm to the fact that so many people are present,most are texting
messages to their cell phones,some are hugging to each other,some are talking gossips,many are not praying in their hearts,but are just story telling to each other,some are sleeping.These are some of my observation for the first day of Misa de Gallo I was present,that I wanted to scold them all.Why are they attending the Misa de Gallo?

They still presumed their freedom to do anything they like,including the ways they like to do inside the church when the mass was starting.They laugh,gossips,messaging,
talking,hugging,and kissing.They do not know that God know all what they have done,and that their wishes could be never be granted,even if they attended all dawn masses,yet their minds are not focus to God,only to their lovers and friends.

I'm glad that the Priest in the church where I attend the daily mass reminded every one participating to practice the proper ways to have it solemn and meaningful. Even the dress code is defined also and when he sees someone who does not wear something fitting for the occasion, he also reminds them about it. I don't want to put pressure on teens but admittedly, attending Misa De Gallo is just one reason to go out with friends, boy friends, girlfriends, some kind of passes they ask so their parents will allow them to go. Very sad but it is the reality and I hope they realize the mass is not something for show so everyone will know they've been to church and completed the nine days of novena.

That just goes to show that most people here are hard headed,that they must be reminded from time to time how they must dress when going to churches.They must all be ready for the occasion,because that just proved that going to anywhere or anything like going to parties,they are dressed accordingly.They should be dressed accordingly to the ways God should be faced.They should have correct church etiquette
without talking,hugging or kissing once the mass starts,yet others still messaging

I definitely agree with you. I used to observe such kind of behaviors when we attended the Mass for Christmas. I myself cannot understand why these people are attending the Mass when they cannot concentrate and listen to the words of God. Maybe they only go to the church because they said that if you completed the Misa De Gallo, your wish will be granted. I dont know if this sis true because I haven't tried completing this, but I dont think heir wishes will come true if they have such behaviors during the Mass.

They know what they are doing are against the well of God,yet still they do it and
I do not know how they manage to still do it.They should have behave in accordance
to the holiness of the place.I just stop minding their actions,that is just a hindrance to my prayers.After all they just wasted their time and effort to a worthless going to church without doing their purpose to pray to God.

I afraid that you should accept this fact and pls just ignore them and just do what you need to do,there are many kinds of people in this world so I think we have no choice but accept that.

I really did not attempt to scold them,but they are still talking,some are even kissing,some are hugging inside a church.I do not know why they do these things because they are not afraid of God upon doing all these things.I really have just mine my own business and just keep myself focus my prayers.

Yes, you are right. Me too, the first time I attended the mass here in the city, I was very disappointed for those which I noticed during the mass at dawn and that was you have been noticed too. I like more to attend mass in the province because there it was more solemn and there I can really feel the spirit of Christmas.

I remember attending Misa de Gallo when I was little and the mass is so solemn. Before, families are attending them together then have breakfast together after the mass. As I grow old, my teen friends would invite me but my parents won't allow me for they want us to attend the mass together. They are using this misa to hang out and some even attend because there is a saying that when you complete the 9 day mass, you can wish for anything and it will be granted. It's just so sad to know that most people are not into the mass anymore and the solemnity is gone.

That is very correct my friend,even if I wanted to scold them all for what they have done against the well of God,so was they are not practicing correct church etiquette.Some are even walking,and I have a person near me with the odor of the liquor he just drank upon entering the entrance of the church.I just did not mind them all that are hard headed,not even praying what they wanted in life,as long as they are there present.I think they just needed some lecture about goof behavior inside the church.I think the priest should be the one who should give them the lecture,so that the next time they enter the church anywhere here in the Philippines,they would behave like good Christians should act in the holiness of the place.
