how often do you clean your email inbox?

I must be the laziest person when it comes to cleaning the inbox. One time my email reached more than 5,000! That's when I started deleting everything. Now I see to it that I clean my inbox at least once a month so it doesn't get loaded with so many unread emails. Presently I only have close to 200 emails left to delete. These emails are mostly notifications from Mylot. I am now logging in to my yahoo email and cleaning my inbox more regularly. How about you? Do you clean your inbox everyday?

I myself check my email as soon as email comes through and keep everything organized(folders for different emails). How do you find what you are looking for with that many emails?

I don't actually expect to receive important emails. I only get mostly from this site.

I don't often clean my Gmail Account. Because of the amazing amount of storage, I now have more emails that I need in there and I still have more than 95% of my storage available. I do a checkup on it around every 6-8 months to see what can be deleted!

I agree with you HLF. Based on experience, it felt hopeless when you have thousands of undeleted mails there.

I am actually using a professional email. It comes along with the website host that I paid for. It is very professional. It does have space limitation so I do clean up my email inbox from time to time. Usually I do it on weekends when I have nothing much to do. Basically I clean it up once a week.

Oh man I can really relate to you on this one. I have two different email accounts because the one that I use for all my online earning sites is so flooded with stuff that it's pretty hard to find things that are important emails. I have the maximum you can contain in an email inbox and to go through and delete all the emails I have in my inbox on my email account that I use for my online earning websites and other things I've signed up for would take a long time.

First thing I do every morning is to check my email and delete those unwanted emails and clean up my inbox. I don't let it grow to be 5000 unread emails. If I had that much email in my inbox, I will be so overwhelmed. I'd probably use the delete all messages button to delete everything. If I haven't been reading them, I probably don't need to read them.

I have set my inbox to automatically delete after a couple of days of not touching it. I used to be just like you, but then my email started getting smarter and they catered to what their users want and made my life easier.

I do delete my email inbox daily. But I just see the vital email and deal with it later. Good day!

I log on every day to my email accounts and I just delete the junk emails I don't need. Usually I get about 10 emails but other times a lot more. I can't stand too many junk emails, so I immediately just delete them. The only time I save an email is when it's important info about my account. The saved email goes in the other folder which I named saved mail. I have 4 email accounts, so everyday I clean my inbox but if I have extra time I just clean two or 3 times a day.

I cleared my mailbox every weekend. A lot of my emails are from mylot. It's tiring but when it reached to 300 plus, I hate it already so tried to catch up regularly.

Every day? Nope. There is more than one email account for me to keep up with and i don't have time to go through every one . The filters help me to help me to keep most of it down and I have folders that certain mail goes to automatically. I only check those accounts for specific things anyway and everything else is ignored.

I clean my inbox everyday. I don't like to see my inbox with all the mails and number increasing each day. One of my cousin has some 15,000 mails in the inbox which i saw recently and she is not cleaning it .

I keep my inbox as empty as possible. The only things I allow to stay are e-mails that are about on-going things that I need to refer to from time-to-time. I have many folders for organization. What really helps me is I use a program that automatically sends e-mail to specific folders. Your e-mail provider should have filters you can use for the same purpose. This way, I only need to check regularly in the folders that are very important. I have a folder just for myLot notifications. When I have time to myLot, I can go to this folder and see recent activity. But I can also see anything that comes in related to my business and I know to check it immediately. It saves me an enormous amount of time because there are some notifications and e-mails I get that don't need my immediate attention. When it goes to it's folder, I'm aware that it's there but I also am aware of the general nature of the e-mail and know it can wait. I don't read, or even see, every e-mail everyday.

I clean my inbox just about daily. I cannot even stand the accumulation of text messages on my phone!
