Our daughter will be arriving on the 21st for the Christmas vacation. I have already changed the curtains and beddings at our bedroom and have thoroughly cleaned it.
I put on a curtain that is the color of Christmas , green. I have already filled up the big canister with our daughter’s favorite chips and snack items in our bedroom. My husband and I kept talking about her coming home and kept texting her how she is. My parents in-law have instructed the helper not to pick the Indian mangoes from its tree because they were reserved for her.
Well, were just excited, that’s why.

Actually when a loved one has long been not seen in person, we become excited at the news that she/he will be arriving. And as parents, it is but a natural feeling.

Being a parent, i know how happy you are to be with your daughter this coming Christmas. It must be very unexplainable feeling that only we can parents can feel,and since you have been away for a long time well it is very natural to be so excited to see your daughter. Being with complete family this special season is the best. I hope your daughter will enjoy her days with you and i hope she will appreciate your efforts in preparing all of those things for her.

Yes, i know you understand our excitement jaiho.
We will be making sure that she will enjoy this season with everyone of us, as we always do. It's her birthday on Christmas day, so we really prepare foods on that day, so she can feel it's her birthday and the rest of the days.

Actually we have last seen her in person last May when she was here for the summer vacation. We see one another through Skype, but nothing beats seeing and hugging her in person.

She keeps telling us she misses us already. She also have told us what foods she would like to eat when she arrives. There are a lot of my cooking that she wants to eat again.

We communicate through skype and phone but still nothing beats seeing one another in person, so we could hug her.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can gauge the happiness and excitement from your discussion and i know u and your hubby must be feeling on top of the world to welcome your daughter. That is the reason why u have been decorating your house as much as possible.
I think u should try to give her a surprise so that her stay will become memorable and special during these days. I hope u will have a great time with her. By the way was she staying away from u all for any reasons?

She's is studying for her 2nd Medical year in a far metropolis. She's in a dorm near her school, my friend.
So the only time she can go home is summer vacation and Christmas vacation. This semestral break, she wasn't able to come home because she has to attend to the activities of the Student Council where she is the auditor.
Thus, you can just imagine how excited we are to see him in a matter of days, although we communicate through Skype once in a while.
