not sure bout this friend

theres this guy that i used to be friends with. we used to go to the beach and hangout and pick up girls and do all that stuff. then i got a girlfriend and our friendship kind of faded. The other day my girlfriend showed me messages from him that he sent to her phone saying that i smoked pot with girls. keep in mind my girlfriend is a very jealous person. so she yelled at me for it when i did nothing. i confronted him and he apologized for it but i still did not like him. about a week ago me and my girlfriend broke up and a week later we got back togather, but in that time he tried to hit on her. then he messaged me saying sorry and all this stuff but im not sure what to do. any advice from anyone?

No offense but this person does not sound like a very good friend to you. He sounds like he is jealous of your relationship with your girlfriend and he is trying different ways to separate you two. That is NOT a friend! I think you should not be friends with him anymore because most likely since he keeps doing it he will not stop until your broken up with your girl.
