She keeps telling that I'm a nice person

Every time I would accompany my father to the market, the vendor where we usually buy our fruits would be happy to see my father. Although he has some problems in health that she says I always have the time for my father. Oh well I'm used to when people says that father is lucky to have a child who cares for him when he is old already. But for me, I don't feel I'm good but I don't get bothered with the compliments or good words. It's my father after all and so it's just natural for me to do that.

That's what make you such a nice person because you're naturally inclined to do these things anyway.

Taking care of parents when they are incapacitated or old is something that not many people do. You are wonderful, keep it up

Hi, Your father must be a nice person. People might be happy seeing a man with such a lovely and caring daughter. Just smile and thank them. =)

People these days only care about themselves, so much so, that when someone sees someone care for a parent, then it is a big deal. These days, people seem to not even care about their pets, let alone their parents. It is good that someone says something nice to you about taking care of your dad, although that is not why you do it.

It is OK to take credit when credit is due. What you are doing is not only looking after your father but setting a good example for others. Also, it is fortunate that your father appreciates that you are taking care of him. I was willing to take care of my mother-in-law but she would not accept my care. She wanted to maintain her independence even though she was getting too old to do the things she used to do. In the end, her niece looked after her and did a very good job. But still, my mother-in-law complained. So, it is wonderful that your father accepts your support and care. It sounds like you and your father have a wonderful relationship. Many blessings to both of you.

Hello hotsummer. You are a nice person to me as well. In our Chinese culture, a child of the parents' is considered to be a good child when he or she accompanies Parents to go shopping, walking or jogging or such activities. I am far away from my parents, but when I am back home for the summer or winter vacation, I usually go out to the street with them and hold their hands when walking on the street to make sure it is safe for them. Have a great day, hotsummer.

Yes taking care of our parents is kinda like a way of saying thank you to them for all that they have done for us. Although it is not compulsory it is what any loving child would do. As for the compliments accept it with a smile as every good deed warrants a praise. And you are doing something really good and worthwhile. So add me to the list of those people who will say: "You're a really nice person."
