I have been pondering wether or not my cat has fleas for awhile now and have even found some dark potty things on her hair after coming and brushing her which I thought was flea dander. I didn't look much closer til today when I found she had some matted hair going on on the back of her and there they were inside of that patch of hair and lots and lots of dander. Ewwww. I immediately said to my mom that I need to go to Petco, and get something to take care of this. She reluctantly went with me even as nauseated as she felt and almost didn't make it hom in time--she didn't throw up when she got home but ran into the bathroom and felt like it. She had to call the Dr and he got her in for a 2 p.m. appt. What a day! Firs mom getting ill from those darn meds and finding fleas on the cat! I hope the Dr can help my mom and this flea remedy helps my cat for now til I can get some other things. I was looking on Amazon and sill have $97. there to buy some natural spray and possibly some flea traps. I know I need to wash her bedding and vacumn the rugs more often here too. Someone also said I could sprigkle cheap salt on the carpets and that would help as well. Any other ideas on natural flea remedies? What you all use for pet (especially cats) fleas? My cat is an indoor cat bu she has gotten out at times and does sleep on the back porch where some fleas could get in. Plus we had a bad year with all insects this pas summer due to the very very mild prior winter.

My daughter gets a flea collar for the cats about every month. The weather the way it is I think insects are around more because of this. Washing her bedding and such should help alot too.

This flea thing might be like head lice in that they bite and leave itchy spots that will itch for awhile. I think any chemicals in these things can cause some irritation too and make them scratch. I hope that the powder helps. You might have to do it several times, especially if the fleas are esle where in your home and reinfecting her.

A flea and a fly in a flue Were imprisoned, so what could they do? Said the fly, "let us flee!" "Let us fly!" said the flea. So they flew through a flaw in the flue. ~Ogden Nash
