My First Corporate Annual Dinner Party

It has been half a year since i began my job, and the new year 2013 is coming, which means i will attend my first coporate annual dinner party. It is heard that the party will change a lot this year since our manager got promoted. In the past, we just go for dinner together after work then home. However, the coming dinner party will last two days with one night. What is the difference is that we will make some shows or programmes, enjoying each other. In the meeting, our group told every group have to make at least one programme, and the youngs should be in the front, which means that i will definitly be on the show. Our leader ask me to take the responsibility, but i really have no such kind of experience before. I just imagined a few ideas but all cancealed by leader. What is even worse is that it seems to be irrelevent to my team members. They showed little concern about it without any suggestion to me but slient all the time. It really brings huge difficuilties to me. The leader asked me to confirm the programme as soo as possible, even though i have to push them. So guys can you give me some ideas about it or shall i push my team members?? I want your help terribly..

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is absolutely great to hear that this would be your first corporate party and i am sure u will have a great time. I think now the responsibility has been doubled looking at the way that u are fresher and young and i think u should hardly care about your team mates and go ahead with your ideas. Well u can plan some interesting and funny games and also a dance program so that every one can participate in it. What say?

Why i said it is difficult to arrange because our team mates are in all ages from 20 to 50. So our interests may differ greatly from each other. You gave me suggestion for dance i think it may be appopriate for our young mates, but not to the elder one. You have mentioned an interesting and fuuny show, which i also have considered. However it is so hard to get one hundred percent accpetance from all members..
