Whenever I read the Bible, I feel that every word soothes my soul. When I am hurt,I feel healed whenever I read His Words. Whenever I feel sad and alone, the Bible makes me feel secured. There are times that I even cried when I read it. What can you feel when you read The Bible?

Good, that's the way the Bible is supposed to make you feel. I wish I could feel that myself, but I've had a lot of bad things happen to me in my life, more over the last 10 years then ever before. I don't blame God for these things that happened, but it has turned me numb inside. Ever though I want to feel closer to God it's hard for me most times.

Hi liviaslife73! I have been to your situation where I felt that there is a big space between me and Him. However, when I realize that those things happened for a reason and it was the best for me, I feel so grateful. There are times that I do not understand why some things happen. Sometimes I ask why these things happen. Sometimes I pity myself but I always read His words and this will eventually give me strength.

My bible is a source of knowledge for me. If I want to have hope, I read those scriptures regarding hope. If I want to learn more about marriage and husband/wife relationships I go to the bible. The bible lets me know when I'm on the right track or if I need to change something in myself.

Hi Arieles! My boy friend gave me this Youth Bible where there are topics to choose from. Just like yours, if I need hope, love, trust, there are corresponding verses about this. Sometimes, I have read the same verses but still feels like a brand new message to me. These verses makes me feel refreshed.

I think that there can be great comfort in reading the Bible. I suppose it depends on the story I am reading. I like Psalms.

Hi JenInTN! Verses in Psalms make me happy and glad. Proverbs can give me direction to my life. Stories in the book of Samuel and new testament serves as an inspiration. There are a lot of things I have learned by reading the Bible.

When I read the bible is that I feel nothing. I mean when I read one passage in the bible I feel like I am just reading an ordinary book like novels or story -- sometimes I feel that I am reading 'an English, Reading literature and a Math subject'. That is all

Hi IntrovertShy! It depends on the person. I guess some people consider it just like an ordinary book. Some consider this a holy book that changed their lives. It differs from one person to another. I even encounter another My Lotter here who consider other books more important than the Bible. It is up to them and I do not have issues with that. I respect how they feel, I know were are all different.

Hi 911Ricki! Yes it is very good indeed. Sometimes, if I need a friend and my friends seems to be busy, I read the Bible. This give me strength and hope. During my most difficult moment, this serve as my shelter.

Yeah I agree. I have seen that the Bible is very beneficial for our knowledge of God and for our spiritual growth in Him. We also know that there are special blessings that God has promised to all who love His Word. Finally, let us give thanks to God because He has revealed Himself to us through the Bible. Let us commit to study and meditate on God's word diligently every day to the truth of God's Word to transform lives. May the grace and blessings of God have always poured out on us who love His Word. Amen.

Hi randomarts09! I completely agree with you. The Bible contains a lot of knowledge that is very useful. Not only with our spiritual growth but with our everyday lives as well. We should study God's word as this can be our guidance. This can give us peace and hope to face the future.

Hi mariaperalta! I do not read it page by page as well. But there are some stories that are really good and I will be able to finish a lot of chapters in one reading. I like the story in the New Testament as these are very inspirational. Merry Christmas Maria and you have blessed day.

The Bible can indeed be read for comfort and strength. I often find God is speaking to me through the Bible. Even though I have read the same verses many times, those verses can mean something different or have a deeper meaning when I turn to them for understanding, wisdom, security, strength and love. I do know God is speaking to us, now in these modern times, through the Bible.

I feel this way when I go to church. It's like I feel so much better after I leave. I do also have a bible app, that gives me a daily message to read.

Hi Nelisa22! I do not have a Bible Application on my mobile phone. I think I subscribe one to Facebook where in it will share verses every day. I can relate to how you feel. I feel so much better after reading the Bible.
