She's improving greatly

I asked my SIL to come care for the ferret at the shelter I volunteer at. She was biting everyone, to the point where people would not feed her, or toss the food in her cage. Ferrets do take time, and patients with but can be incrediable pets. They do eat meat, and prey on small animals which is why I haven't fostered her. She has improved greatly since my SIL has been working with her. My SIL has had ferrets for many years, and most of them are from abusive and neglectful cases so she has dealt with similar situations. I hope she gets her to the point where someone would adopt her. I have been trying to talk my SIL into adopting her, as she wants a ferret but my brother refuses (but it was his idea, it would happen.

that would be nice, all pets need good homes. But they need to behave as well. Lets hope she keeps on improving. Hope you are having a great day there...

Many misbehaviour because of the lack of attention and affection they arn't getting. It's sad what people will do to animals, and neglect them.

sure is, I hate those that get pets an just lock them up. Makes no sence to me at all.

Alot of pets take alot of work to train them right and know how to handle themselves around people and other animals. That's great your SIL is working with the ferret and it is helping. Hope she can continue to do so and then hopefully someone will adopt her.

It takes time and patients, many don't give them the chance. I think if someone adopts her, they should have experience with animals.

I remember you talking about that. I'm glad to hear the update. I hope your SIL will be able to keep working with the ferret. They are so adorable. I didn't know they bite. My mom had a chipmunk in the house once. It ran free. It liked being on one if her flower pots. I remember it biting me when I was 3 or 4 years old. I cried hard cuz it hurt.
