In the year 2022, the Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG), Sword Art Online (SAO), is released. With the Nerve Gear, a virtual reality helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. I created a discussion about older anime are better. This new anime really add one point to the new anime team as it is really good. There are only few new anime that are good recently and I can say Sword Art Online is one of them. Anime fans, what do you think about this anime? Have you watched this anime already?

I watched it but I didn't really like it. The story line is disappointing and the characters have not been given enough "depth". The topic is interesting though. The graphics are also really nice. I think all the hype made it seem like it's really so good and so when you watch it, you're sort of expecting something in the level of the legend anime.

Well I guess it depends on the genre of anime that you like. I think this one is good, first is because of the graphics and the second one is the story. It is a simple anime but there are only few boring moments. I guess I just got bored on the part where they entered the second online game. But compare to other new anime, this one is good.

I like Sword Art online but I will not consider it as one of the best. This anime is will not be part of my top ten anime of all time. I think Btooom is far better than the SAO anime. For me, there is no boring moments in Btooom but in SAO, there are a few scenes that is a bit boring. But I guess the overall story and the animation is nice that is why I like it. My friends say it is overrated, I can say, partially yes it is.

This is pretty good if your standards are based on the anime releases of Fall 2012. There are only about I few ones I liked this year like Kamisama Hajimemashita, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, K and Btoom.

Not yet, but sounds just like 1/2 Prince, a collection of light novels narrating the adventures of a girl ina a virtual reality MMO, where she is granted a wish and she becomes a man in-game, due to a bet with his brother that a girl can't find their way trough an MMO without male players helping her and gifting her stuff. It's also being adapted to a manga, and i really like it. I'll give this one a chance as well!

Hi kitoplayer! Yes it sounds pretty much like it. But they were trapped in the Sword of Art onlinw world. There is no way that they can log out unless they clear the game. If they die in the game, they will die on real life. So I guess that makes it more exciting.

Well, in the manga the NPCs are becoming self-aware, and started killing players with a virus that made their character disappear. It is a threat because they can expand to all other electronical devices and throw the world in havoc, unless the NPC king is assassinated. Then you discover the NPCs are minds of people. Not saying anything more cause i dont wanna spoil it :P

That sounds really cool. I will take a look at that anime as well. There are a lot of anime and manga about online games. Like some are playing real life game or trapped in the online game world. Can you recommend some good anime recently?
