I get sick for some times but I am not used to take medication if first symptoms occurred. I take a rest for a while and plenty of water at bed side. I want to protect my liver from damage. Taking lots of medication or being drug dependent when you feel something either pain or discomforts will hep but take the risk.

Yes,it is not so good to take so many medicine at the very begining, we can try to recover by ourself, such as having a rest, drinking hot water, or other methods. Actually pills also do harm to our body.

Here is a site with all natural remedies. www.earthclinic.com Some remedies use apple cider vinegar, they are speaking of organic acv. This works best because it has not been refined so the healing properties haven't been removed from it. I only use natural or homeopathic remedies. I haven't been sick in years and take supplements everyday. I'm 65. I find that many people prefer to be sick because if they aren't they have nothing to talk about. And they rely on prescription medications that, in the long run, create more problems for which they need more medication. Three drops of hydrogen peroxide in each ear can cure a cold in less than 5 minutes for most people. It's proven many times to work. But remember, any time you use a natural product do the research first. Some interact with medication and some supplements derived from plants will cause allergic reactions if you're allergic to the plant. I hope you find this site helpful.

The natural way is the best way. If we eat the way we are meant to eat (fruits and vegetables) and in their natural state (raw) we will be much healthier. The medications we take today actually make it harder for our own body to fight off foreign diseases. Yes, they can solve the problem for a little while but it's also adding disease causing agents to our body and our bodies natural defenses go down. When we eat living foods (not cooked with live enzymes) those foods have natural disease fighting agents in the them that will build up our natural defenses. Anything we take over the counter, like cold and flu remedies, cough medicines, nyquil, tylenol, those things really don't do anything for our immune system. Instead of building it up, they tear it down. Natural is the best way to fight any disease.

I did do that. I ate 5 oranges in one day for a week and my colds was gone. I did that when I was pregnant with my son. I was afraid to take medicines and I thought it would affect my son so I took the natural way and pray hard for healing. God answered my prayers and I was healed and my son is healthy now. God Bless

You are absolutely correct. We should not take medicine at the first symptom of a disease. When we are taking some medicine it will go through multiple processes inside body like absorption, distribution, metabolism and finally excretion.Metabolism is most vital process and liver is the most important organ for that. When ever we are taking medicine we are putting extra burden on liver to metabolise that medicine aprt from its normal work.Similarly we are also giving more load to kidney to eliminate that out from the body.So its always good to take medicine when there is absolutely no way left and its extremely essential.
