How many of you 'day dream'?I am not talking anything impractical, its just that I sometimes do and wanted to know whether others are also doing it or not. Sometimes I get fed up from the harsh reality and prefer to 'day dream' and I am very well aware that all the things what I am dreaming are far from reality but I find it very entertaining and relaxing.Like 'Alice in wonderland'. I feel charged up and energetic after some time and continue with my real world assignments and commitments! Am I abnormal? Is it strange?I always dream good so I guess this is harmless.I select my favorite and harmless topics/characters to dream.LOL! Please share.

Hi there ! No it is not being abnormal , it is a but a natural thing and it is happening to everyone also. Sometimes when the world is too much , tiring , boring and lousy , so best thing is to leave the world and go have a day dreaming . In here we at least can be happy and make happen for those things which are impossible to happen . It can then bring us to somewhere and there making us breath and unwind.

Hi Wishjui. No your not abnormal. I guess everyone spends some time day dreaming. Although I find myself not doing it too much anymore. I found it a waste of my time. I try to keep myself from it cause I found that in that day dream state I had been missing out on time I could be spending talking to God and trying to find a way to make the good things come to my life without just day dreaming. I don't guess it is a bad thing I just don't have too much time anymore to day dream. I am usually too busy doing other things that I enjoy so much more. Good luck and do what makes you feel happy in your life. But take the time to ask God to help you become happier with the things in your life. I think we all take time to day dream about things especially when things are not so good in our own life.

I do it alot of times, as i sit in my cafe at the computer for 10-12 hours per day. When there is no none here, and Im sleeping. I find my mind wonders into space sometimes.

No, I can understand why people daydream. For me, there are just some moments in life where it's dull. Thinking about other things to get your mind off of your real life is calm and soothing. I still do it all the time because I am sometimes stuck doing something boring.

Since I was a child, I am into daydreaming... I think there is nothing wrong in that and nothing abnormal. People dreams and ambitions to be successful are all started with daydreaming. With my age and status now, I still daydream and most often I write a story out of my daydreams...

I used to day dream a lot as a child and even more so as a teenager surprisingly. Before I found love, I used to daydream scenarios with my perfect partner etc. Now, I would say I day dream far less but sometimes I daydream about scenarios I am really going to find myself in and almost play out in my head how I think or hope they're going to play out. For example if I have to have a big discussion with my partner, a meeting, a concert, etc. I will think about how I ideally want the situation to come out and play it out in my head. An adult's day dream-hah!

I rather to stay focus on reality but I do have lots of dreams , that I am pursuing . I will never stop dreaming until I reach them all and even after that I will start new dreams . I have never dream things far from reality but nothing is wrong with such dreams if it makes you feel better . I dont think you are strange .

I need to make more time for daydreaming. I got off of work recently and am responding to discussion on mylot. Daydreaming sounds like it would be soooo relaxing giving your mind a chance to wonder and create thoughts that are original and unique to you. So much of our day is programmed from work to the entertainment we choose. I am going to make more time in 2013 to just relax and not worry so much. Sounds like a breathe of fresh air on a Sunny days with flowers blooming.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to hear about your day dreams and i think there are certain day dreams which after seeing we get charged up and it sometimes inspires us to attain such. There are people who constantly day dreams for no reasons which is pointless. I also day dream at times but i try to avoid dreams which are beyond my limits. What say?
