Why is it that every time I say I'm just going to window shop and look around the mall with my friends and not going to spend anything, I end up doing the opposite. Why is it so diffiicult to not purchase anything from out the stores? Do the stores have some type of magic or mind control on the customers where when ever they step foot in the door they must buy buy buy? Please help lol !!!:)

I sometimes go to the mall for the reason of stretching my legs and seeing people. I don't usually go out unless there are chores to do since it will involve some sort of costs along the way. But yes, going to the mall for me isn't always an automatic reaosn for shopping. Just people watching and hearing all the noises is good enough for me.

I think even i am the exact opposite of the topic you just asked. Whenever i plan to go to a shopping mall just for a window shopping, it has been a record where i ended up buying so many things, even when i knew i was short of money. I just can't stop myself from buying things. That is why i have stopped getting out to go to a mall or any place now.

if I do not feel need for it, is not going to buy anything at the mall. I look about what items are appropriate for me, but because we do not have a match then I just walks around in the mall.

Yes they do, they use strategic placement of objects that will make their customer want to buy stuff. It's business, it's not fair but it is their way in making a living. Well, I usually dont go to the shopping mall if I'm not going to buy anything. Window shopping just breaks my heart, you know, seeing stuff you want and not buying them, I can't do that. So what I do is, I make a list of everything I need so that when I do go shopping, I only stick to that list. Well if you really can't stop yourself, I don't know, let someone do the shopping for you and stay in the parking lot. Haha. Just kidding. Well, it's all about self control, don't give up on yourself. You can do it. :D

I often went to mall in my free time after my work time is up. But, sometimes I went to mall just looking about. I bought nothing. Sometimes I went to mall just looking for something I would like to buy after I get my salary. going to mall is something like recreation for some people.

I don't do window shopping, if I go to the mall, I go there to buy, some thing not just to look, and just do a lot of walking, that is just not me at all, and I don't like going to the malls, if I don't have, any money either, I only go out when, I have money, if I don't have money,I don't leave home at all.

I will not go to a shopping mall but buy nothing. It is a kind of wasting time. Be sure I go to the shopping mall because I want to buy something. Having a window shopping is not my interest.

I have the same issue. When I go to the mall with friends just to get out of the house and I know I don't have much money I always end up buying something anyways. I guess it's just in are nature that we always need to get something even though we know we shouldn't. But there are times where I have gone thru the whole mall before and not buy anything at all, that was hard to do but I managed it.

Many a times, rather than being greedy, whenever we go near the stores, we feel as If we do need to buy something or the other. And we always have something or other that we need for our home stock. So, this is not surprising, and in fact, happens with most of us.

It's a temptation, and I know I would fail, if I went to the mall. So I reduce this by only going to the mall when I need or want to buy something... or if I really wanna go window shopping (like looking for gifts to put on my Christmas wishlist or something), I take really few money and no credit cartd with me.

absolutely, no. i can't go on to the shopping mall and buy nothing. whenever I go to the mall, I don't leave without anything new like accessories, foods, etc, because mall is for buying stuffs and not just intended for a hanging place.

Well that is sales management applied to influence the customers. The store owner will always try to keep the most demanded items in the frontview of the customers, the arrangement of the different items will be done in a manner that can attract people, the discount tags will be of large size so that a customer can easily notice it and so many things comes under sales management. And the store owner which really understands sales management, will enjoy better sales than its competitors. Actually store owners also know that many people will come only for window shopping and they will try their best to change it into real shopping but only few owners get succeed in doing that. Because its not easy to read customer's mind.
