I am Indian and I like Indian team most but due to recent loses against Pakistan and England you think that the golden period of team India has gone, or it is nothing and team India will come back soon and perform well.

There is no period such as 'Golden' in Indian Cricket history. India rises to the top of world rankings by their incredible records at home. They never won any series outside India when they were no 1(apart from WestIndies). The invincibility was never there in Indian cricket team despite the fab four were there in India team for almost a decade. Indian cricket are now in transition phase and they are beaten black and blue in their home. Utter Shame....

Every team have best record in their series and there are always tough to beat any team in their home ground although Australian face problem to beat team India in their home series so this is not a point. We have best record from 2000 to 2012 so why you are saying that there were no golden period in the history of Indian cricket. When we won world cup against West Indies we were the lowest team in the ranking. It makes no difference that we are winning in India or outside. Now we are not winning in India also so some thing is wrong in the Team and we will see major changes soon in the team. If we will not play well so we can not win in India also so if you want to win you will have to show dedication

Well, things would change - I feel that India would not lose so badly in coming times. Yes, winning full series would take time, and efforts, but if right focus and planning is done, India can again start achieving better results at home and abroad.

I think the golden period ended for India after defeats to England in test series in 2011, and against Aussies in away series for 2011-12. The defeat at home against England in the test series also proved that Indian cricket is on a transitional stage now, with retirement of Rahul Dravid and Laxman, also probable retirement of Sachin Tendulkar in some time, and may be a few more in next one year. It would be a difficult time for remaining seniors and upcoming players. Yet, one should not loose hope and let us wait for better time to come.

In my opinion the golden period of Indian team is gone not because of the defeat from England and Pakistan but the retirement of four legends from the Indian cricket team. And team India has to go through it. Now the Indian team is filled with some youngsters who really need some proper guidance and fighting spirit which they can gradually acquire by playing more matches and witnessing much pressurized situations. We can hope that team India can easily go past the bad phase and recover themselves from these defeats.

I am totally agree with you, because of the retirement of our four legendry players we are facing these problems, we have no back strength and not have good options of them.

Each of one have a good time as well as a bad time and i am very sad to tell that now it is not a good time for the team India. It is due to inconsistency in playing the game. Get the batsmen do well in a game and they do not reproduce the same effort in the next game. Anyway india has to overcome this current issue and make this new year good for them. Good Luck.

It will be too immature to tell that the golden period of Indian team has gone as Indian team is going through a phase of transformation after the retirement of some all time great players.Every team has to see the ups and downs in some stage and this is the time for India.Just because of few defeats we shouldn't say like that.Frankly speaking we always want our team to win but sometimes it doesn't happen.

I agree with you but i did not see this before and we never lost two series in a row in India. But the main question is that can they will performe like before. They did not changed our full team only Sachin is not in the team after world cup so why they are not performing well. Any ways lots see what happen in the forthcoming series against ENGLAND hope they will win.

Hi Mohit, Golden period of India of recent past is gone because the team is not same. In last 4 years we have lost Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Dravid, laxman, Tendulkar ( atleast on ODI) and Zaheer Khan and found only Virat Kohli and Pujara. So unless the remaining players of yester years like gambhir, sehwag etc show that they still have life in them, we can not even think of being big again.

Hey agrim, Retirement of players in the feild of games is very common and within the past years we had lost many talented players. It is really india's hard luck to loose those senior players as well as to find new young talented players. I India will find the way and will find all the they need.
