1Q84 best book I've read in years

I recently finished haruki murakami's 1Q84 and have to say I have not read such engaging and well written fiction in years. Such a strong story, wicked high concept stuff. I was just wondering has anyone else read it and if so can you recommend any other books that I might like?

No, it's my first time to hear this book. Is it written by a Japanese? I am interested to read the book too. I wonder where I can get hold of it.

Yeah murakami is Japanese but the book has been translated into heaps of languages. It got quite popular so you should be able to find it in most book stores or even libraries.

murakami is one of the greatest authors of recent times. though i haven't heard of this book. is this a new one?

Yeah I think it's only been out for a year or so. It was actually the first murakami I've read, really need to pick up some up. Can you suggest any of his others to check out? Will probably end up reading all his work eventually, 1Q84 was that good but yeah just wondering where I should start.
