My husband is so great with my daughter

I met my husband when my daughter was 2 years old but we were just friends. We started dating when she was almost 6 and we got maried last year and she is now 9. I can't believe their relationship. They are so close for step dad and daughter. She would never be able to live with out him. She is closer to him then her real dad. It is so nice to see someone love my child like it is his own and great her with complete respect.

I'm sure they will get closer and closer. I'm just sitting here watching them. She just left for a 9 day trip to visit family in Ontario and she just got back so funny to see how much they missed each other.

this is not something I hear often. Them being step dad and step daughter, but being closer then a real one. It's sure nice to have such family. I sure envy you ;)

This is what I always believe, that there will always be someone who's meant for you. It doesn't need to be perfect because it doesn't exist, but happiness does with someone who's right for you.

That is really good that she is so close to your husband. I have heard that sometimes it takes awhile for a child to warm up to their parent's significant other. I thought this too, but when I met my husband's sons, they warmed right up to me too. I am so greatful for that too.

That is awesome! It is very rare that it happens from what I have seen in other families but when it does it's so nice and refreshing to see! =) I am so glad she has such a great step dad and you have a wonderful husband to treat her so good like that!

It is so sweet that your husband and your daughter get along with each other so well, I think your hhusband must be someone who is very honest, brave and loyal. He wants to be involved in your's and your daughter's life.
