That's right. This is a good opportunity for family reunion and meeting friends. However, we also have to spend a lot of money. Really, I do not know how much is enough. I'm very worried about money matters. We live far from families. At the end of the year, we go home.We have to buy gifts and donations of money for the parents and siblings. And many other items need to spend. Are you too? Do you have the same problem?

I do experience this but not on the year ends. Everytime I go home for vacation I spend a lot of money. I shoulder every expencies and buy some gifts for family and friends too. My family is big so I have to be careful how to spend the money I worked for. I used some part of it for renovation and I have to spare some for my parents before I leave again, for their monthly allowance since I won't have enough money to send them when I get back to work.

I think that we should have a better plan to spend money on special occasions. I usually break wallet after holidays :(

It's good you only break your wallet, I break my bank account, hehehe. But it's fine as long as everybody's happy although my pocket gets a hole everytime this happens, the money gone. Then I have to start all over again. I guess that is my purpose in life. I just have to make sure I have some left for the rainy days.

Yes, I encountered the same problem. Holidays are always times when we spend more than usual. I am glad it is only once a year. Even though I am not far away from my family at this point, I also spent a lot in food we prepared for Christmas and New Year's eve. That's ok for me though because I don't pay for the electric and water bills.
