Embroidery Patches, I just don't know what they work

I envy my friend who knows how to put embroidery patches on her garments. It’s in a way fashionable and also can help you save your garments most especially jeans that are torn out, you can make them in cool designed patches all over the torn area. Or a backpack that has a big hole, you can repair it with embroidery patches. My dilemma though is I somehow don’t know how they work. I asked her on how to sew such but for some reasons, I have no clue on what I was doing making the garment more ruined and worse, looks ridiculous LOL. Do you know how to sew embroidery patches? Please share your thoughts…

if you have jeans that are "already ruined",this is where yiou can get creative.Embroidery patches can be a little pricey,so why not do the actual reapir with scraps of denim or other material, and then put the patches on top.I don't know if you are talking about plain patches or decorative ones, but the former can be homemade pretty easily.

Thanks for suggesting tore jeans which are called "tattered" jeans, unfortunately i already have tattered jeans that are torn purposely and bought it in boutiques, so i don't want to make another tattered jeans, what i want to do is to have patch jeans. but then again, ill try out your suggestion.

I think I would embroidery something pretty on a piece of cloth and then sow it onto the area that is torn. That way you have alittle of the material to reinforse the area.

If you do not know how to sew, you may use the magic glue that sewer's use. I think it is strong enough to hold the patches on your pants or bags.

Yes, I think this is just an easy task. There are also ready made patches available at the stores and you will just have to attach it to the garment.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. ha ha ha, well i can understand your situation and i think any one in your place would have been envious of her. I think stitching habits are not present with every one. In this case u can consult her and take some tips so that u can learn some embroidery works from her that would help u in case u get patches in your garments. What say?

As mentioned in my post, i already told her and ask her to teach me however, i still stumble on making mistakes and have no idea on what to do. LOL, i might as well find some other helpful educational material over the internet. Thanks for your response.
