here is a photo when my daughter is 100 days. usually in china, when the baby is 100 days' old, parents will invite their relatives to have a party which hopes the baby can live to be 100 years'old. and most of the babies will take this kind of photo, dressed in red bellyband and wear the longevity lock. what about your customs? the same or differene?

Here in the US many families do ever 3 months old you take nice pictures of your baby till they are a year old then after that it's ever milestone. My daughter my oldest child she has had pictures take at 3 months and 9 months old. My son he had some a birth but I do my own pictures every month for my children I celebrate they another month old.

Yes, now I remember this is a Chinese custom. However, since today many people have the digital cameras, so they just take photos whenever they like. I often take photos for our son since he was born. So I didn't take photos for him particularly when he was 100 days old. I took photos for him by ourselves and I don't like going to the photo studio to take photos for him. First, the lights are so bright for the baby in my opinion. It is harmful for the babies' eyesight.

Your baby looks cute! Here in our country, we usually celebrate the birth of our kids every month from the time she is born until she reaches a year old. It is always a big celebration for the baby.

WOW this is nice! I just know it. Here in my country we tend to celebrate the first birthday in a fabulous way. One way of showing how lucky the family are having a baby around.

we will also have a birthday party when the baby is one year old. but the 100 day celebration is more important here and the parents and their relatives will give the baby many gifts!

Wow. We don't have anything like that in my country. It seems really interesting, though. A custom which is a bit similar to this in my country is to give a silver spoon to the kid on the christening, if there is any, if not, just at a regular gettogether sometime, because there is a saying like "She/he was born with a silver spoon in her/his mouth", which means that the kid is destined to have a prosperous life and luck in health and finances.
