I just spent over an hour on the phone with Time Warner cable because I kept getting the run around about trying to fix my modem box. They wanted me to delete my internet off my computer and reinstall it etc and I told them no I wasn't doing that because few months ago when I called about the same issue the same lady had me do that and it didn't even work. I knew what the issue was and I had to tell 3 different guys what the issue was it was our modem box not getting signal. Finally the 5th guy I talked to knew exactly what I was talking about and was able to fix our issue. Some how our modem box keeps changing settings and that's why the wifi keeps getting disconnected. But really 5 people to tell me this? I'm so frustrated with them, I don't want to deal with time warner anymore. They have uneducated people that work for them its ridiculous. I'm ready for a change in networks, any ideas on any good ones?

Yeah I'm fed up with Time Warner as well. Unfortunately it's my only internet option so I have to deal with it. But I have been having a hard time with them about my bill. There is always something wrong with it each money. Even though it's suppose to be a set price every month I mean how can there be issues with this. Big companies like this like to rip people off. I'm still trying to have it changed as I can't get into my online account because they have a stupid email account setup for me that I never use. Why can't they just send account information to a regular email account. I'm dreading calling them and having to talk with them about this. If I were you I would definitely look into another internet service. I hate this company already. It's ridiculous what I have had to go through with them since I signed up.

Yeah they do rip you off for sure. They are now charging 3.99 just to use the modem box for the internet that's a rip off. Then the rape you on taxes and surcharge fees it's outrageous. I hope we can find a different service to use because I don't know how much more of them I can take.

Yeah I completely agree with you. I'm still not sure how my bill got so high. My bill says that I owe $60.00 plus whatever my monthly bill would be. But to my knowledge and my husband's knowledge we haven't missed a bill. But of course if they can't sort that out then they will just say something like we have to pay it or we will lose our internet service and then have to pay a reconnect notice. It really is ridiculous.

I would just tell you don't go to Charter, if they are even in your area. I think no matter what cable company you get your internet from, it's the same aggravation. Most of the people who answer the phone are just reading from scripts and promps. When they can't fix your problem, their last suggestion is to send a technician out to your house. The last time Charter told me that, I hung up on the guy. I have work to do on the computer, and your telling me that I have to wait till the next day or the next day to have someone come to my house and fix this problem, which keeps happening. After hanging up on him, I somehow fixed my own problem.

They were eventually going to send a tech guy out here to replace are modem box but then the guy was able to fix our issue. It would have been next week before they got a tech guy out there and I couldn't deal with that I do my school work on the internet at home. But I'm just glad the issue is fixed, I'm just frustrated.

I had them for internet through AOL. I had a problem and they and AOL kept tossing me back and forth. Finally resolved the problem though. Then I moved and got AT&T. Bleah. I was better with Time Warner. Now that I'm in Northern California, I have Comcast. But I have never dealt with their customer service, so I can't really tell you how they do.

That is pretty sad that you had to go through five people to get to one that was half way sane. I deal with Cable One. I have been with them for ten years or so. Last year they did a upgrade and I think it messed everything up. Until then I never had any problems. Except after a major storm that is. But now I get all kinds of weird stuff going on. Pixel problems on the screen, no signal, etc. Never had any of that before. Great upgrade I'd say.

i think you have a wide array of reason for this and it got to be finalised why and i really like them because signal is clear and may be you can contact their service staff better directly to get some ideal service sooner for sure

Before you give up on them try and see if you can find a better modem box because it seems like its the box's fault because its buggy. If you are committed to switching then I'd recommend AT&T, Comcast, Verizon... I use Comcast and its pretty good, very fast Internet only downside is if there's ever a power outage they can take up to a week to fix the service.
