Steve Burton goes to Genoa City...Yound and the Restless...byebye Jason!

Did you guys hear about Steve Burton/Jason? He took a job on Young and the Restless CBS soap! Can you believe it! He walks out of his 21 year role, a solid money maker for as long as he wants it...saying he wanted to move to Tennesse to raise his kids better...and he isn't there 2 months and already looking to go back to work...and didn't got looking to GH...but to the writer friend of his on YandR....Jill something. He starts end of this month. I watched his announcement on The Talk yesterday...it was odd seeing "Jason" smiling and laughing and all, but still...what a slap in the face to GH and us fans! They haven't killed off Jason yet..why didn't he just go home and make us all happy? But no... he is flying back and forth from Tenn to Calif...and he thinks that will give him more time with his kids? Flying across the country every week, jet lag and time zone changes...what is he thinking?
Oh well. I guess everyone make stupid decisions sometimes. I mean it is going to cost him the same finacially once he starts paying for living expenses while in CA and he won't see his family as much with them in Tenn...and you know what happens with long distance marriages..they soon end.
Are you going to start watching Y and R to see Steve? I already watch it and he is going to be the "thought killed in action" vet of one of the women characters whom he had an affair with while she was married to someone else...he is thought dead but showed him packing his stuff and a ticket to Genoa City in his hand....

Fairly old news actually having been discussed here over a week ago or more. The show The Talk made it sound like it was some big announcement this week but it has been the worst kept secret ever. Of course The Talk is rarely relevant about anything; it is just a copy of The View on ABC which is also a poor show. CBS took two SOAPs off the air to make room for such shows as The Talk and now The Talk is trying to use the remaining SOAPs to gain watchers.

I work at home and eat an early lunch and have recently taken to walking in the house for exercise because of various weather and other outside problems. So while fixing and eating lunch and starting my walking, I have taken to watching the game shows on CBS, the noon news and then the soaps. At least on The Price is Right I get to see some beautiful models(a guy thing) and laugh at just how illogical(or just plain stupid) some of the contestants are. I usually walk two to two and a half hours so that takes a lot of TV to make it go faster.

Sounds like you are busy during that time! The game shows can be quite entertaining! I dont' watch them..never really cared for them other than Jeopardy. I quilt during that time!

I heard he was going to Y&R. I am excited about it just wish he was going back to GH. I have watched Y&R from day one but only started watching GH a few years back. But, I loved Jason and was so sorry to hear when he was leaving the show. I now can't wait to see what character he was playing on Y&R.

I have no idea why he left GH saying he was done with soaps, and then came back to The Young and the Restless. I wonder if finances became a factor, although like you said, he's now going to have to pay living expenses in California too. I have yet to ask you, how do you feel about AMC and OLTL coming back after all, online? And Genie Francis is coming back to GH, at least for a little while. Genie made sure though before she agreed to return, they better come up with a good reason why Laura stayed away. They made her character such a victim I'm sure she's tired of it.

I don't know.. I wonder if GH is really mad about it? He was their top leading man for so long and so well loved by fans...and he leaves saying he wants to spend time with his family, moves back east and then comes back to work elsewhere in CA!
I hadn't heard about OLTL/AMC online. Don't think I'll watch tho..just not interested in sitting at my computer desk and watching tv...to uncomfortable and all.
And Genie coming back? Good a excuse to stop watching now...no Jason and more Laura. I can't stand that character! The character has not been anything more than a stupid idiot since she came to town!
GUess things will be wild for a little bit!
