I opened my FB a while ago and found out that one of my friends earned $20.21 today from Fanbox so I checked it out and search some reviews, but I have only read one article about saying it's legitimate. Question: Have you tried Fanbox? Is it real? or scam? Thanks!

I just looked it up and personally, I wouldn't spend the time to try to find out if it's legitimate. Most earning sites like these are fake. The only earning sites I use are this, Swagbucks, and Wishwall. This is the only site I use which pays in money. Swagbucks pays in points you can redeem for gift cards and other things, and wishwall pays in Amazon gift cards or discounts on items you "wish" for. That is a site that I have been really impressed with.

Hmmm... Thanks for the response. Now, I know that my decision not to waste time signing up there is right. Swagbucks, I have been hearing that site but never had the time to check it out. Wishwall, first time I heard it. Thanks again!

I was doing my research on Fanbox and stumbled upon an article on Yahoo! Voices (http://m.voices.yahoo.com/fanbox-pros-cons-11881812.html). Can someone who has used Fanbox clarify if the Negatives the author mentioned is correct to some extent? "Negatives It takes a while to finally get paid by Fanbox, at least for the first payment. Eventually if you are able to reach the payout threshold on a monthly basis, you will have money coming in every single month from Fanbox. When you reach the payout threshold for a given month you will then have to wait around 90 days to receive the funds. There is not a lot of money that can be made on Fanbox, and do not let those high numbers on the leader-board fool you because some of those high numbers are a result of money that the members put in. For example, if you earn $1,000 total but put in $999 to make that money, you have only earned a profit of $1, but Fanbox will still put on your profile as earning $1,000. So if you are on the leader-board with $1,000, it does not mean you earned that much money in profits. Sometimes Fanbox is late on paying out their members."

Thanks for clarifying things. I will check out some videos about Fanbox some more. I understand that people have different temperaments and it affects their success rate in a certain program they join in. Some can adjust to some programs well more than others.

I had heard of it before and still think it is a fake. My account balance is adding up even though i am not active at all for several months, it just doesn't make sense, may be it is not a legitimate earning site, that is why it behave in this way, it is just not possible for a site to pay me so much without any personal effort from my part.

I checked on my earnings regularly after signing up in mid-2012. Starting in October 2012, there was an amount that myFanbox bank indicated was cashable as of Jan. 31. However, when Jan. 31 came, and went, the system indicated that the amount still exitsted, but none of it was cashable. I don't think that i want to spend any more time (or money, since they charge me monthly) trying to figure this out and will ry toclose the account. My conclusion: it's a bizarre waste of time andmoney.
