So I love animals and I try to do everything I can to help one in need. I tried to foster for the animal shelter, but then realized that I have to give them back. I fostered two little babies who were ferral and scared, and raised them to be loving handsome little kids who had a lot of energy. Then came the day that I had to give them back and I was so heartbroken it was too much to handle. I haven't fostered since and don't think I can do it again. I wish I wasn't that way. I know that what I did for them was give them another chance but I get too attached. I hope one day I can be stronger and keep helping those little guys..

I foster cats and dogs. I also transport. I'm usually ok with letting them go, but not always. I have 4 dogs and 3 kittens that are foster failures. (A foster failure is a foster that you decide to give a forever home) It's not easy and not for every one, but the satisfaction of giving a pet a chance at being saved is worth the pain of letting go.

You are a wonderful person, it's rare, most people BUY ANIMALS and you are actually helping those who really need. It would be great if we just stopped buying right now because Cats and Dogs are pleny outhere for people to adopt. Although I love all animals.

Don't feel too bad because that's exactly why I never thought of fostering any pets myself. Like you I get too attached & I know that my heart would be broken when the time came to give them up. So you see your not alone. It just shows that you have a big heart when it comes to animals & there's nothing wrong with that.
