A co - worker is leaving tomorrow

I was surprised to hear that, a co - worker is leaving tomorrow, because he found a better job as he told me on Tuesday. He has to do it for his family, and if I was in his shoe, I would definitely to do the same. He was been with us for a little over 2 years, but he definitely a nice guy, and a fun guy to hang out with too. But we can't stop people to go for their better future right? I just wish him luck, and it was my pleasure to work with him during all these years. Tomorrow, we probably give him a wish card, and a farewell party at work. I might not cry, but I will miss him.

When I was reading your discussion I wondered if my co-workers felt that way when I left last November. I wouldn't know as I wasn't able to return to headquarters by the time I resigned. I basically resigned online as I was under a work from home setup with the company. I also missed some people who had resigned before I did when I was still in the headquarters. I would usually go out with them for lunch and they were fun to be with because they always had funny stories to tell. But I am glad that they are in a better company with perhaps a better pay.

He is a lucky guy who has an opportunity to have better job. He also a nice guy because there are people whose will miss him. But, even though he will enter the new company, he needs to adapt the new environment and building his reputation there.

Don't be so upset, you can still hang out with each other in the spare time. You can remain as good friends. People come and go all the time. We shall adjust to it. A real friendship will not fade away as time goes by.

It's a very Sad news to hear this. I know about the felling you are feeling right know when someone leaves you and afterall when someone is your best one. But dear you can't be with someone always in JOB. Everyone have to think about his future and everyone have to move forward. So be patient. But friendship is the thing which never end. Because it's a connection between heart. Make his farewell awesome so that can't forget it......You will defiantly miss him but no worry about it. All you have to do is pick up your phone and call him....lol

It is really hard to say goodbye to a co-worker especially when we have good relationships with them, however, we have to be happy for them if they will have a better opportunity. You can always communicate with him even if you are not in the same company. Just hang out with him and make sharing about your whereabouts. There is always a way to be attached to him. just be happy for him...
