I been up since 430 this morning and only got 4 hours of sleep last night. I worked my one job 6am-230pm then ran some errands and came home for about an hour. Then I went to my second job and worked that 5pm-10pm. I just got home about 1015 and I am eating some food then probably going to crash. About 9pm I started to get really tired at my job and you can see it in my eyes how tired i am. I wouldn't be so tired if I was able to sleep last night but I couldn't. But working both jobs today and training 2 hours yesterday I will have 8 hours overtime in my pay check next week so I'll be happy seeing that. I hope I sleep like the dead tonight with being so tired. Have you guys ever done this before?

I wonder how long you can keep up this heavy work schedule. Is it possible to approach your boss and ask for more money so that you do not need two jobs? If you cannot sleep at night it might be because you are getting overtired. I hope you give yourself a day off to recover every week.

It's up to me if I want 2 jobs not my boss. And I only work my 2nd job 3 times a month whenever they call me. I don't do this every day so I'm not neglecting my health or anything like everyone is telling me. I know better than that.

Ooh.. that's pretty much early to be up and working. But you are right, the moment we get to see our paycheck and to see that it is beaming with overtime pay, it seems that you want to make more overtimes. hahaha. Good salary seems brings us more strength you go on and work for more hours.

It is early to be up but I'm used to it now I work 630am-3pm every day but some days I have to go in at 6am. My body is used to it I just have issues sleeping at night. And yes it is nice when I can catch some overtime because we don't always get it.

That is one reason why people get sick even if they are earning much. You tend to overwork. And you also tend to neglect your health coz of the hefty cheque waiting for you in two weeks. So, better weigh things down. You might be earning a little over than the usual but if your work is making you unhealthy, you might be just using your extra income in paying for your medicines. So i suggest that you still have enough rest. maybe you'd be needing vitamins now.

I don't neglect my health, my health is fine I just have issues sleeping at night I go nights where I sleep just fine and nights where I can't sleep at all. I don't know why people think I'm neglecting my health because i work overtime 3 times a month.

It is hard to get usse to a big change, I had went from midnights, back to days which was a big switch. I hope you get some sleep tonight, and rest up, I use to be so exhausted before, it would catch up to you.

Yup, and it's something I don't approve of. before I average of 4 hours of sleep and it made me exhausted at work and i became vulnerable to diseases. I easily get sick and it made me look pale. Now I always make sure I get enough sleep, about 7-8 hrs, so i can function well during the day. I think the best way to get enough rest while juggling different jobs is good time management.

When I can't sleep like this and only get 4 hours at night I get lightheaded at work and it sucks. I work at a computer every day taking care of patients and it sucks when you feel lightheaded then dizzy and can't see computer screen. Even drinking lots of caffeine for the day don't help either.

Hmmmm... yeah. I did that, but on work online. I only got 5 hours of sleep and I didn't know that there is such a person who can sleep only 4 hours. I am so afraid to sleep only 4 hours because I might get sick or I might collapse. So I add only 1 hour to make it 5 hours. Also, I set one day rest so that I can sleep all day. I need rest because I am thinking about my health too and so, in case of emergency, I also did prepare medicine if ever I got sick. I don't want to get sick because I need to work to earn money.
