No kids allowed

So houses in my area are way out of my price range. Fixer upper houses start at 500 thousand dollars. So we are looking at mobile homes in a park. But none of them allow kids. I have one 9 year old and they keep turning us away. It's not fair.

I didn't think they could but really they can get away with it. They make you have an interview with the park owner and he won't go out and say that is why he won't accept you. This guy said some of the other owners don't like kids around. Others do flat out say 19 years and over. So who knows how they get away with this.

It's sad then. Here in our country there are rented houses where they do not allow kids too- but this is very rare. Hope you can find a good place soon.

It is crazy. I would understand if it was a specifically senior oriented gated community, but I'm sure if it was, you'd have mentioned that in this discussion. I am not much of a kid person (I don't have kids and I never will) but as long as the neighbours kids are well-behaved, I don't object to them.

Wow that is crazy! I thought owners only do that with animals... Kids too now? Geez! I hope you can find a nice place soon! I wish they were not allowed to get away with this...
