My best friend is male. He is a good human being. Whenever i needed some money, moral support, any kind of help, he could, he gave his best. Now, when i am happy in my life, he is gone and facing difficulties in his life but i can't help him. He is the best example of a good friend. A friend in need is a friend indeed!

From what you said he is a great friend, a very true one because even in hard times he is still there for you no matter what. I have many friends and only few are true and we should treasure those ones.

A real good friend should always show his love and concern to his other friend no matter what the circumstances are. Regardless of time and distance, one should be able to reach out.

I' proud of my best friend, too. Not only she's the best friend ever (caring, helpful, knows me more than I even know myself, sensitive to what happens to me), but also a great scientist-to-be, I do believe she's one of the hopeful giants of tomorrow!!!

A true friend to me is someone you can tell your troubles to without feeling that he or she will tell it to others. In other words, for me, a true friend is someone you can confide in and not have to worry that the whole town will know about my problems.. I also feel that a true friend is someone who can confide in me when necessary. A true friend is honest and also fun to be with. I like someone who is joyful and has some of the same interests that I have. I don't like anyone who looks down on me or makes nasty remarks. I want an honest friend, not someone who constantly flatters me to win me over.

Even if you can't help him, you can always let him know that you are grateful he is your friend and give him encouragement and moral support. Sometimes a cheer up greeting card can do a lot for a person. Or send him an encouraging email or letter. People still like getting 'snail' mail, so perhaps just send him a greeting card in the mail. That could really make his day. It is great that you have such a wonderful friend!
