I have two children who are 15 and 12 years old. I had them at an early age in life. Now that I am older and have a lot more stability in my life, my husband and I are trying for the final baby. I have been unable to get pregnant for the last 5 years on my own. So I have been going to my OBGYN for the year. We have been charting my cycles and I was started on Metformin 1000mg two times a day. This is a diabetic medication, but it helps stabilize your blood sugar levels, and a side effect is an increased fertility ability. January was my one year mark for taking this medication. We were able to get pregnant in October, but the baby was lost close to implantation. Now we have starting adding Clomid 50mg during my cycle day 5-9. I am one day away from my expected visit from "Aunt Flow" today. As I am waiting I am panicked! I have different symptoms, but they could also be a result of "Aunt Flow" being on her way to visit for the week. Has any one else out there been on these medications, and what luck did you have? I will definitely update this post with what is happening. If "Aunt Flow" does show up I will be looking at two more month of the Clomid before it is increased to 100mg. After six months I was told they will look for another treatment because it increases your risk of cancers. However, Clomid also increases your risk of twin or multiple births! Believe me at this point I would take more than one, since we have waited so long! Any feedback to this discussion would be great! Take care and happy posting.

I think 2 children are more than enough in today's era of inflation. Beside if you still want baby. You should opt for natural remedies rather than going for alopathic medicinal way. As you know they have side effects. But in th end l wish you good luck.

I have watched a program called Nanny 911. One lady on their thought she was infertile. She adopted twins and then she had invetro fertilization and got twins. Finally she got pregnant naturally with twins. They live in a large house, her husband earns a lot and they have lots of money.

I disagree that two are more than enough. I believe that if you have the means to provide for your family, you should be able to make it as big as you want! I have worked very hard for the last 15 years to get to where I am today. I have completed a Masters Degree and am pursuing a Doctorate, in addition to owning a successful business. My husband also works full time. With that said, my children are older and have different needs than a young child. Maybe it is because you are a male, and do not have the same understanding as a female. I will go to whatever length that my husband and I decide upon to conceive a child. We have already decided that we will not go through invetro fertilization. There are a multitude of women who need medical assistance in conceiving, and once provided they can have children. I guess we can agree to disagree on this topic. Thank you for contributing to the discussion.

It is wonderful to have a third baby and I wish you lots of luck in doing that. I know a lady that tried hard to get pregnant between ages 20 and 28 years old. After being unsuccessful for 8 years she gave up. Amazingly then she felt more relaxed and she got pregnant with twins. She gave birth to twin boys. Good luck to you using Clomid to help you conceive a third baby. My oldest son was 12 years old when my second baby was born. My third baby came 2 more years later. So now they are aged 17, 5 and 3 years old. A twin pregnancy would be excellent and two are double the pleasure than the one. It is a shame in 5 years you haven't been able to get pregnant. How old are you? I was aged 22, 34 and 36 years old when I had my babies born. Good luck.

You are welcome. I know at 33 years old you are still young enough. My mom had my sister born when she was 34 years old and after she was born she found it hard to get pregnant with another baby. She managed to get pregnant with me and I was born when she was 39 years old. I have friends that have had baby's at age 39 and age 40 years old. Now I am age 40 years old.

My cousin who is married for 8 years gave up hope so they opted for adoption. After 5 years a miracle happened, she got pregnant and after one year- she got pregnant again. She's expecting her second baby next month. I wish you all the luck on your third try

I hope that you are able to get pregnant like you and your husband want too. I think it is great if a person wants another child and has the means to provide. I have only one daughter and for me I'm set. I still have so many other things I've got to do before I even think of having anymore. She was a surprise baby. I can't wait to hear the good news when you tell us that you are pregnant. I'm excited for you and your family!

Hi, still your age is 33 and you can try for 3rd baby. A girl can conceive up to 44 years but it is better to plan before crossing the age 35. So, you should try hard before cross your age 35 because after 35, baby may be autistic. I have two sons and I was willing to get a girl baby but my wife has lost fertility due to over TSH (Thyroid Stimulated Hormone. If you get benefit with this medicine, please intimate me it. Please approve my friend request. Have a very nice day.
