My husband used to play Y8 website to play games after a year that I bought this netbook,a few weeks of playing this. suddenly my computer Turns to blue screen which is due to virus attack so I decided to reformat it but the technician said every time he tried to install the O/s it corrupts so it took him 2 days to do that.. and after a month I can no longer start the windows normally again. and blue screen still appeared every time I turn or or otherwise they are need of "insert your installation disk." or checking disk. and now its Windows doesn't able to turn on again( only the start up where ti says Press F2 to set up).same case again whenever he tried to install it corrupts and later on runs slowly. and he found out that the problem is the hard disk. although he was able to install windows7 again after 2 days.IT still took so long to turn on although I can used it now i normal mode.Does it virus affect the hardDisk? I am only using a free antivirus software from internet so it's features are limited.

Yes, viruses can ruin your hard drive, as long as you have antivirus and antimalware software on your computer and regularly scan your hard drive, you won't have a problem with any of those things.
