to you? maybe for others it's just a habit but for me I find it rude to do that way especially if you are facing an opposite gender. what do you think about this?

I think that is just some habit of a person that needs to be address to stop it.It is not proper to look at persons who always lick their lips, when in front of people to talk something. If you were the one who is facing this person, just tell him/her to stop it because it is not a good gesture,as it also denotes some silly things in your mind, that she/he likes you in bed. They should practice proper etiquette upon facing another person,so as not to think something bad about your attitude.A proper attitude made you a respectable person,so act properly to be respected anywhere you go.

You better tell this person if she is at ease with her posture, and when you are attracted to her just tell her to stop it,she deserved to be love by you. When this person is not your type, then tell her to stop, and just leave her as nothing just happened.

this is what exactly bothers me. that person is obviously showing interest in me and it bothers me to see that act while looking straight to my eyes. I don't want this person to think that I have even a single interest with that silly thing. I'd rather act as if I don't get the meaning of it.

I think for some people it's a habit. All types of habits are hard to break. And who knows how long they have been doing that. So it will probably take them a very long time to break it. It doesn't bother me though when people do things like that. Some people always have to be moving their hands, bouncing their leg, etc it doesn't bother me though.

a habit has its different frequency.. I will understand for sure if it is just an honest habit but I guess they should try to remove this habit at least gradually.

I have never experienced this in my life. I would definitely find it quite distracting especially from the opposite gender. I'm thinking it would be a type of nervous tick that someone would have. Underless its a man acting like a jerk. I know I would not be able to continue a conversation with this person and would want to walk away. I have been in the presence of people who blink their eyes uncontrollably and that is also so annoying and distracting but again its usually a nervous type tick that people have. Some don't even realize they are doing it.

maybe that person is just nervous in front of me or just unaware of it. I'd like to believe that but knowing the personality of that person, I doubt.

I am so conscious doing that most especially if i do feel that my lips are getting dry. I am afraid I might send a wrong signal. Much better to cover the lips with a hanky or a piece of tissue.

I also do this thing but I try not to do this in front of an opposite gender. I'd like the idea of covering your lips with a hanky or tissue, that is more acceptable and surely keep you safe from giving the wrong signal.

I do that a lot and people make remarks about it. Some guys says it is a sexy gesture and proves that I am a very good kisser. lol

Sometimes it is for 'wetting' of the lips. This is not a good habit since it can distract the person you are talking with.

it could be an honest wetting of the lips but you are right, it distracts my attention. I don't know what that person is trying to say but it doesn't look good..

I think it all depends on what you are talking about and who you are talking to . i dont think its rude and maybe that is just me , as long as they dont constantly do it and distract me .

There are certain months where I wet my lips discretely if its too dry. But I found out that it will make my lips drier so I use a lip balm or petroleum jelly instead. As of those people who are wetting their lips by licking it, its fine with me but its not appropriate I guess if its not discrete. The person in front of you might think of other things and might take that particular action differently.

Better to avoid such people ,even if it is a habbit they do know how to behave when they are amid,st the fairer class .Licking own lips sounds obnoxious to me .

I think it is OK because in the winter day the lips are so dry and without the lick their lips people will feel uncomfortable.

I have seen people wetting their lips but not in my front . If in case i will meet such kind of person , i would politely ask why she is licking her lips. I want to know the reason because maybe she is feeling something wrong and bad in her lips or if she says it is her mannerism then i will tell her it is not good to see , therefore she needs to do something about it. If instances a stranger talks to me and at same time licking his lips , i will right away ask for an excuse then go away or keep a distant. I will never trust this kind of person.
