So, there I am standing on my driveway and Transit delivery van is heading along the lane, I watch him go as I wait for my hands to warm up. I see him go past the safe point and on to the part where it gets heavy going, especially in the snow. Well than a mate of mine goes by in his truck so I think nothing more about it. Then I here revving and shouts from down in the valley so I drive along a bit and the van driver has reversed off the road in the snow and proceeded down a rough track. I walk down to talk to him. Two young lads, one looks too young to be working but says he is 18 and the other not much older. They tell me they were doing a delivery and reversed into the track to turn round. This is unbelievable as I had watched them drive along without delivering and because they are some hundred or more feet down the track. They had wheel spun till they had buried their wheels in the ground and had no idea how they were going to get out. They were phoning their friends to see if they could help but as they were miles away in Oxford and had only cars, I don't know what they expected them to do Well they only have £21.10 on them but I agree to pull them out for that anyway, though it was not really worth while. Keep your wheels straight and just let if go where I pull it. Would they? Would they heck as like. They kept turning the wheel right round locking the vehicle stooping my towing it. Even for the redoubtable Land Rover towing a van in snow over mud is no easy feet. Some people are a danger to themselves, no? all the best urban

It was nice of you to get them out for so cheap. I've been there before, stuck that is. When I first got my jeep, I thought I was invincible in the snow. A friend told me that four wheel drive only means I can get farther off the road before I get stuck. Sure enough, I took a wrong turn down a logging road, and got stuck. AAA would not pull me out because I was too far off the main road. I learned my lesson, and I'm sure those boys learned a thing or two today.

Yes indeed pulled a Jeep out recently when it got stuck pulling a horse box out a muddy field, trouble is Jeep suspension is not really compliment enough for maximum grip. I never been stuck in the snow but I have got stuck in sticky mud once because I had road tyres on. I have different tyres for summer and winter which makes a big difference. Well the younger lad got out of the truck to help and I managed to teach him the trick of keeping hands worm in snow, much to his amazement but I doubt they learned much about where to drive. Some people live and learn, others just live! all the best, urban

Teri, I've seen this strongest man in the world competition on the telly, I think, twice in my life, but I'd be surprised if even one of those guys could have pulled your jeep out, let alone the kind of guy that's in the Amateur Athletics Association (AAA).

Precisely, they are young and un-experience driver as they are, then can be of liabilities in the road. Specially inplaces where snow are thick you need a very experience driver to do the driving, something is wrong to thier employer just pray nothing more serious than what happened will come to them.
